Visited this restaurant recently and was shocked at the gorgeous interior and beautiful food with AMAZINGLY inexpensive prices. I love sitting at a beautiful bar and this one did not disappoint. Comfortable chairs, sleek lighting, great service from both Karen + Audrey on 2 separate trips.
At our first dinner, I was excited to try the tuna ceviche appetizer. Super fresh, bright tuna combined with arugula, sweet figs and a little pistachios for some crunch. Yummmm..... delicious, light, perfect.
For entree, I decided on chicken capriosa with arugula + mashed potatoes and we really wanted to try the Cod, listed on the menu. He also wanted a side of pasta with Bolognese sauce (no skimping on sauce here!) The cod was so tender, moist, and delicious! It was difficult to share and the chicken capriosa reheated well at home. The mashed potatoes that came with both dishes were also delicious, without being too rich and we were thoroughly satisfied on our first visit. Both entrees also come with salad and they even make their own Caesar dressing, so fresh!
We decided to return the next week to try their pizza and began this dinner with their mussels appetizer, but the kitchen was gracious enough to create a tomato based sauce instead of the white one the menu listed. Decadent, delicious but still light - I tried to steal them all from my dining partner actually and I'm usually a great sharer! We decided on the Philly Cheesesteak pizza and the small was enough for the 2 of us after the appetizer without being too heavy, even with such a rich meat on top.
We are DEFINITELY looking forward to our next visit and ordering the Blackened Cod again and maybe next time trying the clam appetizer or a seafood pasta. Thank you for the great service, the delicious FIG martini (trust me it's a great way to begin or end your meal), and...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite places to eat. First off we tried to go a few weeks ago. I don't remember the exact time, I believe it was astound 12:30AM. Every lighted sign for the place was burning bright. Clearly stated OPEN 24 HOURS. It wasn't until you park. Get out of the car. Get up to the door. Tug on said doorjust to find it locked. Look at all the bright 24 hour signs just to notice a little 2x2 sticker by the handle of the door that says 7AM 10PM. Even on Google said open. Went tonight 7/23/21. The waitress is not very knowledgeable. Instead of finding the answer to your questions, her go to answer is " I don't know, I'm not the cook". First strike.! I ordered broiled Crabcakes. The FIRST time they were brought out, they looked raw. Definitely NOT broiled. Not her fault. Send it back. Please have these broiled more. Now I've eaten plenty of crab cakes, Crab meat does not look like grains of rice, this did! She brought it back out. Still looking exactly the same! She is asked; are they baking them or broiling them? She says yeah baking. When is pointed out that they are supposed to be broiled She responds with her go to answer. " I don't know, I'm not the cook" second strike! I take a very very small taste. DISGUSTING!!!!! It's bitter and doesn't even remotely taste like crab. I tell her NO! This is not going to work. She did ask if I'd like something else. So I asked for the chopped steak. She left the imposter crab cakes and fries on the table. When she brought my chopped steak, that is all that was on the plate. No fresh fries. The gravy was congealed. I was done! We ordered dessert to go. When the bill came at least they took the crab cakes off. So...
Read moreWorst eating establishment ever. I've been to many places and many sub par places and I can still eat the food even if they're not great. However.. I couldn't eat the food here.. In my 24 years of eating at home and eating out I've never sent food back but I did here, I sent all of my food back. I ordered mozzarella sticks which had good presentation so I was hopeful. They didn't taste the greatest, but they weren't the worst so I ate them like I do wherever I go to eat. Then the main food came out.. oh how my hopes were shattered.. The pancakes could have been from the freezer. They were flat and not easy as a normal pancake to cut, plus they didn't even have normal syrup they had tiny smuckers syrup packets. I also got fries, they were super greasy.. I've never had fries that greasy before.. I had already eaten the mozzarella sticks, but to my embarrassment I had to send the pancakes and fries back because I literally couldn't stomach them.. My mom was with me and had the same problem, she got chicken Alfredo. The noodles were mushy and it lacked a decent flavor. So she sent it back and replaced it with a BLT.. The BLT(bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich) had bacon so well done that it crunched like potato chips (basically burnt) and tomato only on one side of the sandwich.. so she had to send that back to and we left hungry and disappointed. The waitress also gave my mom an evil glare on the way out even though we were very nice about it all.....
