Akita Sushi — Restaurant in Florida

Been eating there with co workers who were Americans and the service and food were good. Came there yesterday with my other fellow Asian co worker, then the service just nose dived. We asked for a booth and the server said all of them are dirty but there were no plates nor people in the 5 booths. She wants us to seat on the hard chairs. We said its okay we will wait for the booth to be cleaned. She repeated that it is dirty and we are to sit on the hard chairs. Then a few Americans came in, the server immediately sat them on the 3 booth that were empty that she said were dirty. We told her again that we want to be in the booths and she curtly replied "but i told you to sit here in the hard chairs". The manager saw it and talked to her and she wasanswering back in a loud voice. I do understand chinese and she was very rude. My American coworker who were regulars there and was suppose to sit with us She quickly realized this then she sat us on the booth. I’ve door dashed from here several times but today was our 1st time dining in. We Ordered 2 Japanese sodas and an order of edamame to start. When the edamame came out, it was covered by a round basket to keep the steam in. The server set it down, lifted the basket off the top, and a nice chubby well fed cockroach was clinging to the basket. It fell from the basket onto the edamame, then onto the table, and proceeded to run around in circles until my husband killed it with a napkin. The server apologized several times. We told her we’d be leaving immediately. We did not make a big scene or get loud or disturb any of the other patrons. She promptly charged us for the 2 sodas that we barely touched ($8.56!!!!). A group of 7 of us went here for lunch we got there at 12:07 and at 12:50 still no food so my co workers had to go back to work and we had already paid so I waited for our food which didn't come out till 1:25! There were only like 3 tables but we tried to give them another try and ordered at 11:30 when they opened for 2 bento boxes togo and asked for them to be ready at noon. We got there and they had only made one order! Then when we asked if we could wait for the other box to be made she said it would take a long time because they were "packed" when there was only 4 tables in the place, I was like really??!! I told the lady we would NEVER be back after this and she said nothing. Not only are they slow but they are very rude! Will not be returning EVER. Food is great but not worth it...
