Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Florida

We didn't wait long before seating was available. The lights were dim just enough to create a soft, warm and comforting atmosphere. Several different sports were playing on flat screens all thru out the restaurant. The volume was loud enough to hear the sports announcer on the screen closest to your table/booth, but low enough to still have a pleasant conversation with your dinner party with out having to raise your voice. The atmosphere at the bar was a bit louder, as the more enthusiastic sports fans cheered for their team(s). Even then the noise wasn't excessive, especially considering it's a bar and grill. The bar is located in the center of the restaurant with dining tables and booths surrounding both sides. Being central, foot traffic is heavy in that area (from both customers and staff). It's amazing to watch the bartender pouring/mixing drinks for every patron in a timely manner and the servers moving about with trays of food and drinks thru the crowded isles and around whatever obstacles, working together when needed, to insure the best customer service as quick as possible. Keeping customers happy and the work place accident free. Our server was very friendly. The best we have had so far. We had a small issue with our glasses (no fault of any employee, it was equipment related...that is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) She addressed it right away and took care of the problem. We ordered endless riblets, which were out of this world! Compliments To The Chef!👌 Our server was so on point that she had the rest of our meal to our table just as we were finishing what we had. We didn't have to ask for the rest of our order, wait for the order to be put in, wait for it to be cooked and then wait again for it to be served. It would have been awkward to sit there waiting for the rest of our order at an empty table because the plates of the food we finished earlier were already cleared. (That has happened before at another restaurant, a very long and frustrating wait.) Extremely satisfied with the prompt service from start to finish. The environment was very nice. The service was above and beyond. The food was perfect in every way. Honestly, the very best riblets I've had in a restaurant. So full of flavor. The alcoholic beverages were made well and tasted great. Our server was very impressing. She was the total package, providing the type of service everyone dreams of receiving while dining. We were so happy with everything this day that we included double the gratuity suggested for such great service....

Awful service I would give a zero if possible. Arrived at 10pm hostess took a long time to sit us. Didn’t give us menus waitress took a long time to give us menus and take our drinks. Asked for 4 sprites all of the sprites were bad she never came back to check on us so couldn’t tell her about our drinks. When she finally came I asked for waters instead. She came back with 3 waters and 1 Sierra Mist. Our food got to us at 11:01 extremely late because waitress didn’t care to take our order to begin with. She brought half of our food and took long to bring the others half. Ordered 6 orders of boneless wings extra crispy extra wet. Only some came extra crispy and none came extra wet they were all really dry. We still ate we didn’t feel like having them take back our food and bringing it back way later. We had already waited so long for our food we were so hungry and dinner want to wait any longer. The kids water was filled to the top with ice barley any water. My husband sierra mist was flat agin it actually tasted worse than the sprit. When I told her if she had changed it to water she said no took back the Sierra Mist and didn’t bring back any drink not even a water. She took our card at the same time and didn’t even bother to take off the drink which my husband didn’t even drink he had only took one sip. That’s when we found out it was flat. I was so annoyed with this waitress we didn’t receive good service at all she never came to check on us or ask us how out food was. She didn’t apologize for our drinks and just laughed it off. I honestly wanted to speak to the manger but everyone was just so irritated and wanted to leave. We will not be coming back that’s for sure. I would have rather just picked up food from somewhere else and went home instead of having to deal with the awful service. We even witnessed people arrive and just leave bc they had been standing in the front waiting to be seated but hostess never came to sit them so they got tired of waiting and left. Something needs to change even if it’s late they should still treat all customers well with respect don’t they want customers...

I had not been to this Applebee's in a very long time. My husband and I wanted a quick bite late on 11/1/19, so we decided to go to Applebee's. We ordered our drinks and told the waitress we were ready to order. I don't think she was ready for us to order so quick and she was back and forth and had quite a few tables this particular night. They had a special going where you get a meat a vegetable and two sides. My husband and I ordered the special. And some Chicken Wonton Tacos. We were told by the waitress that the food we were ordering was a lot so we probably shouldn't order as much as we wouldn't be able to eat it all. My husband replied.. "We will be okay." Our food comes out...but we couldn't eat because we had no silverware. The waitress behind our table notices and brings us two forks with napkins. I had ordered extra crispy onions as a substitute for the broccoli... There was hardly one serving for the onions. The ravioli was not what I ordered and the extra side of crispy onions came out 20 minutes later. So did the silver ware with a knife for my husband to eat his steak. My food was horrible. I only ate the mash potatoes and a few shrimp. The waitress notice my plate and asks me what's wrong. I told her that I was disappointed with my food. She asked me if I wanted to speak with a manager. But by this time I was just ready to go home. I love flavored teas and drinks.. so when I told her that I didn't want a to go drink? My husband knew something was definitely wrong. Especially the fact that I didn't hardly eat any of my food. My husband states that his food was delicious. But my order on the other hand was not eatable. I paid for two full meals that was not worth my almost $50.00. She didn't even offer to take the food off the check. Only to replace what was not good. That would have been the whole meal. I would have had to wait another 29 to 30 minutes for. Management really needs to come by the customers tables like they used to. To make sure that everything is alright. But I guess they are busy themselves. As much as I dislike saying this...my visit was...
