Phenomenal food & friendly staff. This place could be a 5 star Manhattan restaurant, yet it's hidden away in a plaza in Delray, just 10 minutes from my house, little did I know until today.
Service is also 5 star. Alyssa & Robin were very courteous, attentive and had great attitudes. They seem like they really enjoy their work. Alyssa offered to let us taste the wine before committing - it was excellent and we appreciated the offer to taste first. The young man helping with table clean up was also excellent and very helpful & courteous. I didn't catch his name, unfortunately.
I had the veal francese and it was the best I've had in years. I have steered clear of veal dishes lately at restaurants because it's usually tough & grizzly. Alyssa said it's a popular dish so I gave it a chance & I was glad her genuineness paid off at selling me on it. It was very tender and thin, and the lemon of the francese was perfect - not too lemony - just perfect.
The baratta was excellent. The fried ravioli a must. Calamari was out of this world & I'm not usually a fan of the dish. It had a bit of lemony, buttery, garlicky drippings on the bottom of the plate that was a delicacy. Their marinara sauce is perfect.
The chef(s) also deserves high praise & recognition. I didn't get his (their) name, but I hope they stay at this place forever.
Oh, & the price for 4 people was comparable to what we would have paid for just 2 people at other ostensibly "fine" restaurants.
Very pleased...
Read moreSo, Avellino's....Huh ..A BIG Surprise today! I had Googled Pizza...Saw some nice pics of Entrees and 🍕. Decided, spur of the moment to go...And ...Well, you know I'm a 🍕 Conosuear....BAM!!! This place is Awesome!
Their menu items cover the gamut of what you might be in the mood for when eating Italian food, with relatively fair pricing, with nothing really expensive as considering the size and quality of the food served
The kids menu, includes lasagna, stuffed shells or baked ziti for $8. I only tried the margarita pie... And I got to tell you it's one of the best ever tasted in Palm Beach and Broward County. I'm not kidding the sauce to fresh mozzarella ratio was perfect... The bottom was thin and crispy.... Even the taste of the dough was quality stuff. A must-have. Come to think of it this place is a definite Come Back Spot.... And eagerly look forward to my next visit here.
Update as of September 7th 2024 I tried I tried their margherita pizza again it was excellent. Another nice dish is the the minestrone soup as a substitute to the salad. It's nice they dice up, and the ingredients are light and healthy.
Feb 28, 2025: An Update Got the Go-to Margarita Pies, Garlic Rolls, Chicken Wings, Veal Sorrentino, Lasagna, Parmesano Encrusted Salmon, Pasta...
Read moreThis place is a very nice place to relax. I come here all the time on my lunch and decided to get their lunch pizza special or wings. I work next door. I’m a regular here I come here two- three times a week. This time I came in sat in the far back and brought my own lunch. I wasn’t having such a good day and wanted to be alone. The waitress Andrew who usually serves me had an attitude which he usually seems like he do every time I’m here. I told him I wouldn’t order anything today. He could have spoke to me and see If I was ok and that I usually come and why am I not ordering anything today. The customer service was horrible. He told me in the most rudest and sassiest way ever that “You don’t come to a place and bring your own food that’s not how it works” If you don’t like your job then leave. Now he ruined my day even more. I’m always nice to everyone there. He made me feel so uncomfortable so I left. A customer...
