Furniture World — Local services in Delray Beach

I had to share what an amazing guy Bob, the owner of Furniture World, is. Recently my 91 year old father was transitioning into a Memory Care facility so we bought a dresser at Furniture World for his new room. Two days after he moved into Memory Care he fell and ended up in the hospital and ultimately ended up in hospice. The dresser was scheduled to be delivered the following day so we called Bob to cancel it. We knew we might not be able to because there were signs around the store saying it was a final sale. Bob was very understanding but explained he couldn’t cancel it with his supplier so unfortunately we couldn’t cancel it on our end. My mom had no space for it in her place so we thought we’d be out the money. But Bob offered to keep it in his store and try to sell it and pay us if he did. It was a nice gesture but we didn’t expect to ever see the money. But I was wrong! A few weeks later we got a call from Bob telling us he sold it and refunding us for the full amount we paid. We were so impressed with Bob’s compassion and integrity. He is a truly honorable man! That’s the kind of personal touch you often miss in a large chain store. We are truly grateful for this kind gesture during such a challenging...

Not a good experience shopping at Furniture World. Furniture was supposed to be deliver in a week and never heard from no one to let me know when it was coming. I called to find out and Bob told me they were working in the delivery day. Hopefully By the end of week Bob said. This store didn’t have the courtesy to give a me a call to keep me updated on the delivery day. I was the one that has to be calling to find out if my delivery. Still don’t know!!!! Another thing if you are paying with credit card the add to the total 4% for using the card. Unfortunately you want to give business to small store but they don’t take care of...

I just want to say that if I ever need another piece of furniture I will go to furniture world. Bob is the nicest man to deal with. My wife bought a recliner for me last year. It stopped working. He said no problem. He came to our home saw what was wrong ordered the piece and it was fixed with no charge. Where else would you get such service. We will never go anywhere else.
