Felt the need to expand on my husbandsā review. Called at 7:30 to place our order. It was a $118 order with 6 meals. When I called, Thomas took the order. Admitted that he didnāt know HOW LONG it would take for our order to get done because they had a large group of military members come in. No worries! We didnāt mind the wait. Asked him, since we didnāt have a time frame given as is customary, if he could give us a call when itās done. He changed the name on the order to our phone number, and said he could do that. By 9:15, we still had no call, so we drove down to the restaurant. By this time, the large party had left and they were cleaning up. Found my favorite server and asked about our order. She walked with us to the bar, and asked about the order. The bartender (who my server later told us was actually the assistant manager) hands us the order and walks away awhile. Since it sat on the counter for god knows how long, we started to check it. The majority of it was cold. She asked if we wanted to check it (seeing we obviously already were), and I asked her how long it had sat there. She said she had no clue. It gets brought out, and they wait until it gets picked up. Now normally, this is not a problem for us, as we normally have a given time or an approx on when we can expect it. This time however, there was no such time frame and we were promised a call. And this is where a well trained MANAGER should have been able to handle this. Instead, THIS MANAGER, says to me āItās not our responsibility to call the customerā. And normally, I would agree. NORMALLY. But this, again, was anything but ordinary. After a back and forth, and telling her I was told Iād get a phone call.. she walked off after we paid the bill. I hear her yell from the back āThe food sat out there for 30 fu**ing minutesā
Definitely not the way a manager should be. As for the food, obviously it was cold. The onion rings were SOGGY like limp noodles, the tenders in the combo were soft and soggy. Then we get to the car and realize our drinks werenāt there, so had to go BACK in. The reason I didnāt refuse the order? Iād already waited an hour and a half. My family was HUNGRY and having to now order somewhere else would have been another hour long or longer endeavor. They ate what could be salvaged, threw away what couldnāt, but we wonāt be going back and thatās a shame. This could have been handled so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUDATED Don't get pick up without checking before you leave. My husband called in an order earlier. Pretty simple. Wings and a plain hamburger - just cheese. He had to repeat the plain with only cheese part 4 times. Then she would say, "so you don't want any tomato?" He would say no, nothing on it but cheese. When he hung up, he said This is going to be wrong. IT WAS. He came home with it and the receipt/order says in red in a long, long list - no lettuce, no tomato, no onion, no, no, no. I should have taken a picture. The burger had EVERYTHING on it. I mean really? They used to have someone checking the order against the ticket when you picked it up to make sure it was all right and all there. No way could you look at this ticket and think this was right. So husband just turned around and went back. Usually I would just say never mind but I'm tired of paying money for food that is blatantly wrong. If you can't make any changes, then say that. But if you say you can make adjustments, then make sure they are made. Partially his fault for not checking before he left I guess, but when the bag is tied in a knot, you assume they checked.
2nd chapter Husband waited for new burger. Came home, opened container, it was just a burger and cheese..no bun. Had to laugh. Called them, spoke with manager who apologized profusely. He promised us 2 free meals. So I'll leave one star until we get the free meals. I didn't complain for a free meal so I do appreciate him trying to fix things. Hopefully this doesn't happen again or to others. I want to promote local business, but they've got to do their part too.
We did get 2 free meals and food was all correct this time. So I upgraded review to 4 stars but I still say check your food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a change, chose to grab a bite instead of a daily heavy meal. Found this on my way and decided to stop by. It was my first visit and probably not repeated. Was greater and asked to pick a table for myself. Atmosphere is close to your normal sports bar. Ordered draft beer and a steak sandwich. Got excited when the server asked me how I would like my steak cooked. Shortly after, my steak sandwich arrived and it looked promising āas you see in the pictureā. Biting through the sandwich and most of what I feel was bread, spicy mayo and crunchy union. Very far and in between I feel a hint of steak. Ate it anyway cause I was hungry, paid the check with tip for the service. The same server that presented me with the food came to check on me and I told her what I stated above. She said she was sorry but the sandwich contains 5 ounces of steak !!! With all honesty, if they make a real sandwich and charge more, Iād understand. But $21 and change āno tip includedā for a sandwich and a beer, itās not acceptable. Especially when itās called a steak sandwich. Iām pretty sure, not giving this or other locations a second chance. Left the place and directly to Italian restaurant for a real...
