Waffle House — Restaurant in Florida

My wife and I frequent this location even though it is a little bit of a drive for us but typically when we go to eat, it is a good experience but when we stopped on 2/23/2025 it seemed like a whole other establishment.

We were sat at a booth and waited for our server to come take our drink order, which took about 5 minutes. Our server was very busy so we didn't say anything about the wait. She took our order and wrote it down on a napkin because she misplaced her tablet, which I didn't say anything about.

We sat a waited for our food to be delivered, which took roughly 15 minutes, while people that were sat after us was starting to receive their food. Our waffles were barely room temp because we watched them sit on the counter until another person brought them to us. When the server came back to the table for more coffee we went ahead and sent the remaining part of the waffle with her because it was too cold to eat.

We sat for another 10 minutes before the rest of our order was brought to us and needless to say, my eggs were not right at all. When the server finally came back to the table I just requested the check because we had already wasted enough time.

When I went to pay, the lady at the register was VERY nice and she asked how was everything. I explained the wait, the cold waffle and the eggs were wrong an of course our server was standing there and became exactly what you would think she would, defensive and honestly verbally abusive which I have an issue with because I said not ONE thing negative about her and even left a tip for her. She said that I ordered the eggs how they came and the lady at the register looked at the ticket and said that she wrote down my eggs how I wanted them and they were made incorrectly. I wasn't holding our server responsible at all for the mistakes or the quality and when she asked why I didn't say something, I told her that she should have noticed that I sent plates with her where the food was barely eaten.

As she walked away, like the other server told her to do, she needed to follow up with some rude things to say about me as she passed my table where my wife was still sitting waiting for me to come back to her once the bill was paid. The thing that made me feel the worst, I didn't ask for our bill to be altered at all, I paid the bill in full with no attitude towards anyone and wanted to leave but the little attitude filled server needed to make everything worse!!

This experience made sure that we will never return to this location because of the quality of the food and the down right rudeness of the server, I don't remember her name but she was younger with multicolored hair. If anyone is reading my review, I would steer clear of this location because it unfortunately can be a Jeckel and Hyde...

I was so impressed, after a very long day, that I walked in, smiled a was immediately greeted back with the same and even more kindness by the waitress. It was only a bit after the "rush" of the midnight crowd. After I ordered at the sit down cafe style seating area placing an order to go I started handling my personal biznass on my cell phone as most do these days but the teamwork of the staff on my visit caught my attention and to the point I...still did my biz on the phone, was asked by a table of nice folks, what the back of my shirt said (and being partially endorsed by the clothing company that designed and made the shirt for me) I stood up and showed them. As I sat back down I went right back to watching the staff with almost a look of awe that ya' just don't really get while watching a team work at most eating establishments these days! The cook was doing what she did so effortlessly, I don't even think I ever even saw her turn around. She didn't have to bcuz while the one waitress was calling out orders like a champ, the other waitress was handling the sanitizing of the plates and silverware, ect, and before I knew it, my food was cooked to perfection and I was out the door happily and not asking for any change back. If you ever get hungry traveling, either on I-75 or 98 in Brooksville, Florida...I give this Waffle House and staff (whom I've never met before in my life) a try!!! 5 ⭐ for sure in...

I must say that Waffle House is my favorite for breakfast. I have been to this restaurant more then a dozen times. My experience this last time was not so great. The air conditioning is not working at present and it was hot inside the restaurant. I asked if they could turn the air to a cooler setting. The employee told me it wasn’t working and it won’t be fixed because they are rebuilding the store in February 2023. It’s way too hot in Florida to have air No conditioning especially in a commercial establishment. I must also point out that I’ve observed the condition(maintenance) of this restaurant go down over the past few months. Now it all makes sense. The owner or company isn’t making repairs or maintaining the facility because of the upcoming renovation/ rebuilding. With that being said: don’t go to this specific Waffle House until the renovation...
