I live in Orlando and was told about a bakery that specializes in middle eastern meat pies. I started going a few month ago and mind you the website never said anything about the time they baked. First visit was around noon, I ordered around $300.00 in mixed pies and they were delicious, next time we went we were told that they only baked until 2:00 pm and to call when we were on the way, I called and was told that they stopped baking at noon now I am frustrated because of the time difference. Today I called around 10 AM to place an order and the son answered and said that they stopped baking at 10 and they only had 11 pies left so I asked him to hold them for me. When I walked in I was greeted by the father and asked if I was the one they are holding pies for so I said yes and he said that he was going to bake and give whatever I needed. I got two dozens plus one pie and two spinach pies and was very rudely surprised when the father rang my order up three times until he came up with his right price. I asked him about the price change and he said that price went from $1.50 to $3.48 per pie. His food is amazing, store very clean but I don’t like to be taken advantage of by telling me they are not baking but they are and was upset that they didn’t inform me of the ridiculous price increase . Nevertheless I will not be going...
Read moreLet me tell you a little story. We stumbled upon this Lebanese bakery by pure chance during lunch hour, while waiting for the rain to pass so we could continue our bike ride through Flatwoods.
At first glance, it didn’t even look like they served coffee, but Fatima went out of her way to make me one — and it turned out to be one of the best I’ve had in a long time. While we waited, they generously offered us a variety of freshly baked goods, all absolutely delicious.
After riding 35 km, we decided the best way to recharge was to return for more pastries. This time, we also met Nedr, who turned out to be incredibly welcoming. Not only did we have a lovely conversation and enjoy their reasonable prices, but we even got a Dubai chocolate as a gift.
It’s always the people who make a place truly special — and this bakery is a perfect example of that. Thank you for turning a rainy day into a heartwarming memory.
Highly recommend to anyone in the area —...
Read moreI'm so glad my friend was late meeting me at another place in the plaza. I wandered over to check out the store while I waited. Very bright and clean little store. I came on a Sunday, and there was no meat in the display cooler.
The gentleman there was very helpful and offered information about the bakery and the pastry on the shelf. I bought some.
One looks like flatbread with pizza sauce. Delicious on its own and awesome to use for breakfast pizza. It has a slight kick to it. The other one is a pastry pocket filled with lamb(?). That was delicious as well. Perfect size for a snack. I used an air fryer 220° for about 10 min to reheat both, and they came out great.
I also bought some fruit sodas that I haven't seen elsewhere. I like the...
