Twistee Treat New Tampa — Restaurant in Tampa

Disappointed. This location was my very first experience with Twistee Treat. Initially I was very impressed with their ice cream, despite this being a popular spot and there being a wait. I've visited 5 other TT locations and none of them have disappointed me as much as this location. I've dealt with pricing issues, quality (taste) issues, longer waits than any of the others. I've even dealt with a younger staff. I'm a mother and firmly believe in giving kids an opportunity to earn money but not at the expense of providing knowledgeable, competent, and sanitary customer service. I WILL NEVER eat from this location again.

On one occasion the cashier let the side of my ice cream touch his arm and he still served it to me. I used my napkin to clear that spot away and just left in disgust.

On my last two occasions (including 15 min ago) I've detected something akin to pest spray in the cones. Last time it was a sugar cone. This time a cake cone.

I believe in giving chances but this was their last. To add insult to injury, in comparison to my last visit where I ordered a more expensive cone, I was charged more. I asked for my military discount, the cashier said ok, yet I was charged full price. Not a huge difference in price ($0.63) but that's not the issue. I shouldn't be charged based on who's on the register. I was a cashier at their age. Prices don't change daily.

I wish TT the best and hope they fix these issues. I just won't be returning to...

If you want to see some of the worst customer service of an ice cream shop, this location is just what you’re looking for. This review is for the service and not the quality of their ice cream. All I can say is wow, I don’t know if the staff is usually this rude or I just came on a bad night. The first employee was texting on her phone while taking my order. Then when they called the wrong name for my ice cream order I let them know my name and I was picking it up and the response was an eye roll with a very rude “yeah, whatever”. If that wasn’t a bad impression enough, the order after mine they screamed the persons name in an ear piercing and unnecessarily rude manner. After she called their name 4 times, pretty rapidly and increasing in loudness every time, she finally gave up said whatever and left the ice cream on the counter. I understand shouting a name loudly to make sure everyone can hear, but the way the name was shouted was very unpleasant and offensive. I can’t believe the lack of respect multiple employees showed the customers. Truly some of the rudest service I have ever experienced.

This isn’t what you want when you go for an evening out and a manager/owner needs to correct tonight’s crew. These employees need better training in customer service or they need more supervision. Tonight’s experience was awful and to be treated like this and see others treated poorly showed a lack of respect these employees have...

The order speaker is broken and has been for a longgggg time. You can't hear them and it makes ordering extremely frustrating. The workers are probably the worst I have ever seen in any business establishment. I ordered 3 HOT FUDGE sundaes. Pulled up she said 1. I said no I ordered 3 HOT FUDGE sundaes. Notice how I elaborated the HOT FUDGE part. Well the first 1 comes and it's regular vanilla ice cream with nuts and whip cream? I let them know right away it's wrong. They take 5min no joke complaining to each other that it's wrong & who is to blame. Then I watch through the window as they scoop off the toppings of the ice cream that has just been sitting there for over 5min and throw some fudge on them. I refuse to take them because the ice cream is literally melted. Like a bowl of soup melted. I just explained I don't want those and would rather have freshly remade because I have to take them home. The girl gets so upset and tells me to speak to her manager. The manager comes after another few minutes. Explain the situation and she remakes them. I watch through the window again how they scoop off the toppings of the other Sundaes and try to reuse them. It's absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. God knows what else they do.
