Bob's Famous BBQ Yulee FL — Restaurant in Florida

I ran across Bob's famous bbq about a year ago. I ordered my food. I got into my vehicle and tasted it. I got out of my vehicle and went up to the light skinned heavy set lady at the window. (Wife of bob) II asked" do yall have my dad back there bbqing? This taste DELICIOUS like my dads' bbq." I jumped onto my business page(restaurant) and posted how GOOD the bbq IS. If people asked about good bbq in the area. I would post BOB'S FAMOUS BBQ IN YULEE!! Which is about 75 miles away from my restaurant. THE BBQ IS BANGIN!!. I hadn't been I awhile because the lines are ALWAYS long. I get off the interstate today and see that the line is s h o r t. I'm thinking YES! I'M EATING BOB'S TODAY!. I wanted the smoked wings. I asked and the young lady about wings she said" I think we are out of wings. Let me check and see". They did. The last 6 wings. I opted out on wings and decided to try something new. HALF A CHICKEN is what I decided on. If you have been to BOB'S you know the food is worth the wait. I waited. When she handed me the bag which was tied in knots. I said to myself" how did they put a HALF a chicken into this lil container" I open it and to my surprise it looked like a half a pigeon. I say to myself " restaurant depot sells two different sized chickens. I know they can buy bigger chicken's than that ". The chicken leg was the size of a swollen thumb and the wing was equally as small. I go back to the window and ask for a refund. I didn't want to pay ASKING price for something that wasn't equally valuable. The young lady says" we can't take this back because of the board of the board of health". Whatttttttt? While waiting on my food I had to listen to the heavy set light skinned lady( the wife) arque with a lady who was obviously with a man that she had just had a verbal confrontation with. She goes into telling the lady about her male friend that she had words with. Customers standing there listening to her go back and forth with a lady who kept saying" you and he had a disagreement. I just need to pick up the order!" The femal customer gets her order and walks off cussing and fussing about the SERVICE and MOUTH that the wife has. Thennnnnnn I wanted a refund. Which she did not want to give me. I told her" I gave you your asking price for the food. I'm not satisfied with what you gave in return for my money. She says" I didn't see that chicken before it went out". My response was" WOULD YOU HAVE SOLD ME THAT lil HALF a chicken if you had?" Her response was response was some where along the lines of I didn't raise or cut these chickens". A unsatisfied and mistreated customer is a customer that WILL NOT return. She was extremely CONFRONTATIONAL with 3 customers TODAY Everyone out there witnessed her be NASTY to customers. Terrible customer service from THAT lady. They made need to rethink having her at the window dealing with the public. I gave a 3 on the food because of the chicken I received TODAY. The 1 for service is for the wife. The 1 for atmosphere is because she made me entertain the idea of Not returning to get that Good bbq. From Looking at the reviews it looks like she's doing a GREAT job of running...

I have been a customer of Bob BBQ when they were located off Soutel, in Jacksonville. I would enjoy the sides more than the ribs due to the inconsistency in the quality of the meat. My last experience with Bob reminds me why some establishments are not able to surpass a particular level in business. Customer service is poor, and it starts with the owner as a bad representation for the staff. I called in to place my order and was advised that I will need to order online. Well, if you have tried to order online, then you would understand the frustration. The process to order is not accurate and someone dropped the ball to ensure it’s a smooth process. You are unable to select your sides for your dinner, so the restaurant must call you to get that information. Which makes no sense to offer online ordering if you still must call the customer. Then to only have three options for beverages and when I get to the location. I ask to switch my two liters to another flavor not listed; I was told that since I touched the bottle, they’re unable to switch. The owner comes over to state that it is Florida law on beverages that by law they’re unable to switch out beverages. Once again this was an opportunity for the owner to demonstrate customer service, but no the ball was dropped. I was told by the owner that I am not the only customer to spend over $100 once again, another example of poor customer service. While the owner was so busy avoiding questions about why the online process was not accurate and very misleading, she would rather "bind up and rebuke” ... lol the area of concern a regular patron brings to her attention. I would never give this establishment my hard-earned money again. I hope after the owner finishes binding and rebuke, she takes time to review the Florida beverage law and then MOST importantly learn proper...

This spot is right off the highway, parking is good for the location and clean. It is a walk up and order not a sit down location. They make it easy for you to sit in your car and wait instead of in the heat by giving you a “buzzer” for when your food is ready. There are two benches to sit while you wait if you do prefer. The woman who took my order was so sweet and pleasant as well as the staff preparing and handing out orders. Prices are reasonable for the food amount and quality. I ordered ribs, chicken (dark meat), wings, mac n cheese, string beans (they were out of Collard greens), ox tail rice, yams, baked beans, potato salad, Strawberry cheesecake pound cake, butter pound cake, sweet tea, and blue lemonade. They have 4 different sauces Sweet and Tangy, Mild, spicy, and Maul (all mixed as one). All sauces are mustard based except the Spicy. My favorite was the sweet and tangy. The ribs and chicken were perfect I could have honestly eaten them without any sauce at all. The Mac n cheese was good but not my favorite side unfortunately. It’s missing something. All other sides with grand praise to the oxtail rice were great. Yams were sweet but not overly sweet.; will always be a go to for me for this reason. Each dinner comes with 3 pieces of bread. The Arnold Palmer was amazing. The blue lemonade alone was good but if you don’t like super sweet drinks add a little water. The pound cakes were very good and the serving size to everything is more than enough. Please don’t expect to come and get your food instantly.
