Bob Evans — Restaurant in Florida

My "Honey Chicken Biscuit" breakfast closely resembled the sole of a work boot - and could not be "cut" with a table knife and fork. I finally gave up and surrendered it to the trash. I have been a patron since Bob Evan's arrival in Fort Myers, Florida - but today was absolute "rock bottom". The "One Star" is wrong - should be "Zero Stars". (that being said...)

"Bob Evans" came here some years ago with the chant "We are so happy to be in Fort Myers" or something similar and they hung pictures of our area including those of the Ford and Thomas Edison Estates.

A few years later they removed the pictures* and replaced them with photos of "their Ohio home" and changed there mantra to "We are from Rio Grande, Ohio" - aren't you glad we are here? ...and we could care less at the time but the wait staff was great and also the food.

*Yes - "My Gang" asked about the pictures intending to buy them - and we were told they were donated a local preservation society or something like that - but they were no longer available.. .. and "management" could not tell me exactly who/where they were given to.

So - you can deduct that I am not satisfied nor "through" with Bob Evans - I will return when the current problem...

I now know why it's typically dead there. Prices are right and we usually have a good experience and good food but the last couple 3 times our waiter is smug short rolls his eyes when I ask for a few more minutes to decide and unaccommodating to say the least. Tonight was no different other than my burger was as good as mt 10th grade lunch only not as good. And though it was 815 when seated All three employees including the manager continue to poke their head around the corner to see how much longer we were going to be with our dinner and must have taken place five times coffee was subpar of his super weak and God forbid if I asked for blue cheese dressing and my extra napkin was one. If they were going for North Korea famine they nailed it. Maybe I should go there for brunch whatever you do don't go to skillets cuz they don't do lunch or breakfast actually I recant my 1st decision and I will give them a 1 star just opened the strawberry supreme pie. If I had opened it there I would have walk out without paying never again...

We were visiting Fort Myers from out of town & decided to try Bob Evans for breakfast.

The service was excellent. Our waitress Keyleigh was very attentive & helpful. She helped us choose our food & everything went smoothly.

The reason for my 4☆ rating is due to the food. I did not experience anything that blew my mind despite trying many different things.

I tried the featured Blue Ribbon Bacon. It was good but not out of this world yet I believe was the item with most taste out everything I tried. Also ordered the Whole Hog Breakfast including Eggs, 2 Bacon Strips, 2 Sausage Links, 2 Sausage Patties, 1 Hickory Smoked Ham Slice, Hashbrowns, 1 Pancake, & 1 French Toast. Ate most of it but again nothing blew my mind. Being Bob Evans I expected better taste.

Tried their Strawberry/Orange Juice drink & was ok but was not able to drink it all. Too sweet.

It is a nice place & definatelly an experience for the bucket list of restaurants but I would choose Cracker...
