This hotel could use a lot of work.
From the lobby you can sort of see up keeping is lacking. I think the rooms could definitely use some upgrade. Again, the upkeep of these units are lacking.
The side doors that leads you outside, close to the stairs, has multiple gaps where air is escaping. They are very visible you can’t miss them. It’s big enough to where you can see the latch of the handle…which is a huge safety concern. I can’t even begin to image the energy cost especially with the hot temperatures recently. This also affects the temperature on the bottom floor. Once you get to the elevator you can feel the difference in temperature.
Plumbing seems to be another big issue. Multiple people had plumbing issues where their toilet was clogged. Also, the toilets run endlessly unless you jiggle the handle to make sure water from the tank wasn’t escaping. If this is happening in every hotel room, the water usage is due to faulty toilets running all day. New toilets would definitely cut cost. Showering was a bit interesting as the water took forever to go down. It could be two things 1. Draining problem 2. The inability to adjust the shower head to have it hit middle of the shower instead of the back creates a slower drain. Also, the rust and or mineral build up that hasn’t or wasn’t taken care of prior really ruins the upkeep o this place.
Customer services wasn’t too bad. Front desk was great. My only concern was when I asked for some sheets and the HK who brought it to me looked I like I was bothering her. I spent a few minutes questioning, if asking for sheets was a huge inconvenience. If I knew where they were I’d get them myself.
Definitely, there’s potential here. The layout of the rooms are great and there’s ample of space. Rooms have a huge fridge and the dinning space was bigger than other...
Read moreDeserves 3 1/2 stars but had some issues staying here. Reaching a live agent at the hotels front desk is as bad as cable companies giving a 5hr window for installation time. I was on hold for over 20 minutes to finally have someone pick up & ended up getting a woman who didn't speak English well & didn't know the property too well regarding their own rooms. All I wanted to know was if my room I reserved had a microwave or an oven as I was trying to figure out what to get at the grocery store for the super bowl. Once we got there I was very pleased with how clean & spacious the room was. While settling in, both my guest & I wanted to take baths before the start of the super bowl and was disappointed to see there was no drain plug. I phoned down to the front desk & got the same lady who didnt speak/understand English well as I asked if someone can bring a drain plug so we can take a bath. 15 minutes later the maintenance man came up holding a toilet plunger......we told the guy we requested a drain plug for the tub so he went back downstairs & again 15min later he comes back & brings 2 sizes that weren't meant for the tub as he brought a kitchen sink drain plug & a bathroom sink plug instead. He asked if we wanted him to keep looking which we said would be great, about 30 minutes later he came back with the correct type built for our tub. Just unfortunate as both my guest & I couldn't take the bath before the super bowl began so he did first & I did after the game was over. However the bed was extremely comfortable for a great night sleep & very clean throughout the whole room. But for future vacations I may end up booking another place to try out as this place didnt really stand out. However the rep who checked us in & checked us out had a very friendly good personality so...
Read moreMy Mom and I just wanted to have a little staycation, because we live locally but it is nice to get away and do something different. So we were able to go to Shoeless Joes, and just relax. My Mom loved the spa. It was nice and clean - not green, with all the jets/bubbles functioning. :-) It was great on my Mom's aching muscles. We take several staycations throughout the year - and this is the cleanest, nicest hotel we have been to. The two - room suite is very nice. I like how there is a knob on the sliding glass door for the shower, it's very practical, just like the hand sanitizer dispenser connected to the bathroom door handle in the main lobby - my Mom saw that. I love how there is still a Gideon's Bible in the drawer. :-) There is so much color pops in the halls and rooms, it's bright and inviting. I love the carpet color scheme and pattern as well. | The front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. The security man was very kind and went to see if there was any hot coco available for us later that evening. They had been cleaning the carpet, so I just wanted to make sure we could sit in the business center because it was a bit more quiet. He just checked the carpet to make sure it was dry and then pulled the chairs off the table for us. It was a nice place Mom and I could relax, have some coffee and plug in our phones. | I highly recommend this hotel - between the cleanliness, upkeep and staff, it's a little gem tucked away that my Mom found. :-) I want to go back and then we can eat again at Shoeless Joes after the renovation is completed and maybe catch...
