Glory Days Grill — Restaurant in Florida

The manager was so rude at the door that we left. He berated us for coming with a party of 7 and not calling ahead. He then said they were short staffed. The place was at 25 percent capacity. I said, "Sorry we did not know we needed to call." He said, "you need to do that next time. It is courteous to me and my girls. You will just have to wait for them to catch up." There was one bench that sat 4 in the entry. The other bench was covered with cleaning debris. I asked if we could sit at a table to wait. He said, "No. It makes us look like we are ignoring guests." You will just have to stand and wait. Plus I gotta put 2 tables together." I said, "we can sit at 2 tables. We prefer it... The kids at a different table. Haha." He said, "No. You just gotta wait." I said, "I said that's not a problem. I am just trying to make things easier for you." He said, "Then you should have called ahead." I said, "Well, I feel like we are a huge inconvenience to you. Maybe we should go elsewhere." He said, "Great. Call ahead next time." I will never be back. I have never been treated so rudely at the door of any establishment. We were shocked. We went next door to a similar establishment that was busier and were welcomed and NOT chastised and called inconsiderate. His tone was nasty and abrupt. He belongs in the back of the house not front. He said numerous other snippy remarks. He will cause the loss of future business from us. We have been there so many times that we know staff names at night. I wish I had got his name so I...

This was my 1st time at this restaurant and I’ll probably never be back all due to a rude, inattentive server. I believe his name was Ryan, he came over to us as soon as we were seated asking for our (table of 3) drink orders, we asked for more time. When he came back we ordered drinks and appetizers. When we got our food; about 30 mins later I asked about our appetizer & he said he forgot to put it in. Okay, people make mistakes. It was all just Down hill from there. He asked only if I wanted a drink refill, which I declined. Never asked the rest of the table about refills. My mom asked for a refill, to which he responded “okay, is there anything else while I’m here” with an attitude, we declined. He brought the drink and scurried off again. We had to flag down another waitress to ask for a refill on fountain drinks, boxes and dessert. He then randomly appeared again with our check. I wrote on the check how unsatisfactory the service was and that we would not be returning and he followed us out of the restaurant screaming at us. On top of all the issues with Ryan, the silverware was filthy, there were napkins thrown under our table & it wasn’t even busy. Mixed feelings.. We come to this locate @Daniels & 41 at least once month. Service has been getting a lot better, since we found server Lala. But no one wants to work so we have never complained about only having 2 servers for the entire slammed full place. The drinks and food were always great except this time....my margarita takes like moonshine and they are premixed! It was so strong even the hostess could not believe it was a house margarita. The food was not up to par. When we came in a lot of the tables were waiting for their food(clue#1) but we ordered. Normally 30 mins for burgers is ample time but this time it was over an hour for 2 American burgers and a side of beans.. We heard a man( shift manager?)telling tables he was sorry about the wait but it is hard to keep people etc.. That is the last thing a customer wants to hear. I get it. Never came to our table and inquired. Then we heard the cook quit that day. That is probably the correct reason. This place could be a gold mine! Add incentives for people to work for you!! Up their pay.. give them a day off with pay, be creative.. We will be back because of Lala great customer service. And if things change, I will update this post.. Season is coming and it does not...
