Iâm not to sure about shopping here but I can definitely tell you my experience working here and I won hundred percent do not recommend just because the employees are very rude the only man that I found that wasnât rude to me in any way was probably the hiring manager but other than that my very first day was very horrible just because the person training me was very rude to me and not understanding that I am new and I am unsure about how or what to do just because for the obvious reasons that it was my first day and she was very aggressive and made me feel very dumb even though I barely knew anything about the store yet The other employees that I was working with warn me about the specific person that was training me and I tried my best to ignore it but the way she was talking to me I couldnât handle it anymore and I wanted to switch with a different trainer and when I told the people that were in charge during my shift they didnât really understand and they were very rude to me as well asking me how the lady was rude and I expressed my situation and how I felt and they rolled their eyes at me and gave me an attitude but then they gave me to someone else who has a lot better but I do not recommend working here unless you do not care about someone talking to you like youâre a piece of trash. I wouldâve expected that everyone wouldâve been more friendly and more understanding given that most of the employees there were of older age but I guess not maybe my experience was just bad but this is just where Iâm coming from and I definitely just do not recommend going anywhere...
Read moreWhile testing comfort of a $150 chair I was considering purchasing, a store employee walking by told me in an extremely rude voice that displays were not meant for sitting! He never lost a step nor looked me in the eye, just continued on his way. If he had an up issue with me testing the chair, a better approach would have been to ask if he could assist me with a purchase. At the very least, he could have the courtesy to stop & politely mention something along the lines of, "I'm sorry ma'am but the displays are not meant for use." I could have then equally politely advised him I was thinking about buying & wanted to be sure the chair would be comfortable since I would be sitting in it for long periods of time. I patiently waited for him to come by the area again & courtiously informed him that I was simply only trying the chair for comfort. Of course, again he did not stop; he merely looked at me with disdain & continued on his way again. No surprise there! Needless to say I did not make the purchase & will not return to Homegoods. There are too many other good...
Read moreToday I went to the store and found two black picture frames. I was elated because they each had a 3.00 markdown pricetag. When I went to the counter to pay for them, the cashier treated me like a criminal. She didn't physically say anything to me at all. She immediately took the frames to her coworker or Supervisor to show it to them. I felt as if she thought I put the 3.00 price tags on the product. If she would of simply rang them up she would of realized that the price were indeed correct. If I were white I don't think she would of treated me that way. This was one of my favorite stores. I will not shop there again. The frames did not have their original pictures in them. When I got home the stand on one of them was broken. I don't mind that, because I can put my artwork in them and hang them on the wall. This would of been a happy day if not for that slight from...
