Checkers — Restaurant in Florida

Closer to 2.5 stars. The food is usually very good (fatty) and I love the loaded fries! Yes, some of the best fries around, burgers are great too. My issue with this particular Checkers is the timeliness of the service. SLOW . AS . HELL. The staff is almost always very friendly, but incredibly slow. Don't go here if you're in a hurry, or on a short lunch break. The time spent standing at the order window in front (we're talking about lunch time) is usually Too Long to Unbelievably Long. The drive through can be faster (I find this is true at most fast-food places), but, not always. This place is just so slow; it didn't used to be this way several years ago. I don't come here often for lunch anymore because I'm always late returning to work; my waits have usually been 5 - 15 minutes, with the average probably about 8 - 10 minutes. That's just far too long for a so-called fast-food place. The outside seating area is nice with some good shade areas, but the area is often spoiled with the messy dropping of the many ducks that haunt the place and will harass you for food the whole time; don't feed them! If I could I would give the wellington location 0 stars. Took my wife daughter and 3 grandchildren for dinner. We walked up and were standing at the order menu looking at what to get for 10 minutes and then Realised that they were not taking walk up orders. Not o e time did any employee open the sliding door to let us know and just kind of ignored the fact that we we literally standing two feet away.(ok our bad) so we got in the car and went to wait in line at drive through 20 minutes with 2 cars ahead of us. So when we finally get to order we went to put in 2 orders (1 for my wife and I and a second order for my daughter and her children. ) so we let them know through the speaker we were placing 2 orders and the cashier says that they are no longer taking 2 orders from the same vehicle. What.... seriously you cannot take 2 orders from the same car. The absolute worst service I have ever had . Pulled up to window and asked to speak to a manager and they closed the window and ignored us.

Never go to this location because if they treat you outside this badly I can only imagine what they are doing to the...

This restaurant has the worst staff working there. I went there on 3 different occasions and the experiences are poor. The first two times they made me leave the drive thru and wait for my order in the parking lot. The cars who were behind me manage to get the orders on the spot while I sit there for 10 minutes waiting for mine. When i decided that they weren’t coming out with my bag, I had to walk to the window, they give me my bag that happened to be sitting there for who knows how long before I went to the window. The third time, I had to say my order twice to the cashier. Once at the order box and the second time at the window. After sitting in the parking lot and walking to the window again. The bag was sitting there doing nothing again when I went up to the window. I realize that they forgot to burgers that I ordered. I told the employee and she gives me the receipt confirming that the burgers weren’t included in the order. I told her what I ordered them twice and she still got it wrong. I had to pay extra for the burgers. I decided not to go back...
