Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Florida

While traveling home, we pulled in to this CFA. We attempted to use the mobile app. Two of our group were able to utilize it for their orders, while I was not. We called the restaurant and attempted to order, but were told to come inside. When I went inside, 3 employees were standing at the register. I stood there waiting for 5 mins. One employee was ordering his own food, then walked around to where I was standing and placed his card in to pay for his order. Another lady walked over to me and asked if I had a mask. I replied that I did not, and then pulled my shirt up over my nose and mouth. She said ok, then all employees walked away. Two mins later, a lovely young lady walked over to me and apologized for my wait. She kindly took my order and directed me to stand over by the counter. She then got my drinks and condiments. She brought those over and explained that I could stand over by another area while I waited. I thanked her. A few minutes later, another young lady came over with my food. She held the food to her and then stated that”in the future, you have to have a mask to come in here. It’s our policy.” I explained that I didn’t have one, but had covered my mouth and nose as requested immediately. She continued to hold the food close to her, as I stood there with my hand out. She curtly stated that it was the policy and I would not be allowed, I could use the mobile app. I explained that I had attempted that multiple times and it was not working. After a phone call, I was instructed to come inside. She again said, “I’m just telling you what our company policy is.” I took my food and said, “thank you very much!” I have no issue following rules, but don’t be rude about it when others have said that it is fine. This has been the first Chick-fil-A in all the years of contant bragging of how wholesome & refreshing it is to be surrounded by fellow Christians... I was never greeted as I'm used to. I had placed the order online and just had to pick it up at the counter. I was asked by a young lady who seemed to be the head supervisor what I need it. I told her my order she seemed to have gone to the back to inquire but I can't tell if she fi or not. She got distracted with a phone call. After her, I called upon another young lady that was behind the counter to ask if anyone knew about my order. The 2nd young girl was upset that she had to bring it to me, to the edge of the counter. The third one, looked at me like I was an alien. After patiently waiting for 15 min, the order was incomplete, the same girl that was annoyed that she had to service me, asked if I was missing items right before I left & handled me what was missing. The entire time I felt unwelcome. Not once did anyone apologize for the wait nor thank me for my order. It was like the Twilight Zone... I was shocked but more so, deeply sadden by this awkward customer service behavior. I recommend the presence of an adult manager. This is most definately needed at this...

If any one had seen my previous rating of 5 stars that was from the very first time I went after opening, since then nothing but issues.. several orders wrong, longer waits than usual(and not due to covid or anything else) was shocked at how rude 1 experience was, been actually "talked" abt while waiting for my order, skipped over completely, and when working(delivery) treated like ur not important, like Im last on the to do order....i haven't gone here in several months due to those reasons but tonight it was easier and I hesitated but went and was left displeased yet again. Curbside pickup, only one car in drive thru and 2 besides me waiting curbside, got a notification saying order was done, waited 5 minutes someone came out just to ask me a question ??? Ok..... Then a good 10 minutes later they brought it out with the person that maybe got the 5 minutes prior and have it to him first! It took me a goid 20 minutes since they said it was ready to come out and 30ish minutes for the whole thing... that's enough for me....too many chances.... I'll stick...
