Disappointing Experience with Shift Lead “B” at Bob Evans.
I’m writing this review to address my concern about an employee at Bob Evans, specifically a shift lead named “B.” I have personally witnessed her behavior on multiple occasions, and each instance has been troubling. As a customer, I expect a positive, respectful environment, not only towards patrons but also among employees. Unfortunately, “B” consistently fails to meet these expectations, and her behavior reflects poorly on the Bob Evans brand.
To begin, her overall demeanor is consistently rude and condescending. I’ve seen her interact with coworkers in a way that comes across as dismissive and downright disrespectful. She often speaks to her team in a tone that suggests impatience and superiority. For example, rather than offering constructive feedback or guidance, she tends to issue snarky comments and sarcastic remarks that undermine her coworkers. This approach not only dampens morale but also creates a tense, uncomfortable work environment.
Furthermore, it’s disheartening to observe her disregard for inclusion, particularly towards members of the LGBTQ+ community. Her attitude toward LGBTQ+ coworkers has often been unkind, making them feel unwelcome or even targeted. This lack of respect is not only unprofessional but also contrary to the inclusive values that many modern companies, including Bob Evans, stand for. A manager or shift lead should foster an environment where everyone feels safe, accepted, and valued, and it’s apparent that “B” does not uphold these standards.
It’s perplexing that Bob Evans has retained “B” in a leadership role for so long. Her negative influence could potentially lead to a decline in employee satisfaction, an increase in turnover, and even impact customer experience, as her behavior is apparent to those of us dining in the restaurant. A toxic work environment can impact productivity and service quality, ultimately affecting the entire establishment. I urge the management to reconsider her position or, at the very least, provide serious coaching on professional conduct, empathy, and inclusivity.
In conclusion, Bob Evans is a brand associated with warm, family-friendly service, but the presence of “B” contradicts this image. I hope that management takes these concerns seriously and makes decisions that prioritize a respectful, supportive environment for both customers and staff alike.

Read moreWhen Bob Evans first opened we would go once in a while for breakfast.. Our son William was still only about 3-5 years old and has Autism. It can take a while finding the right medication keeping his attention and focus clear enough to enjoy any experience in a public forum. In the early years sometimes we would we couldn't stay after he would become overwhelmed with the movement and noise in his surroundings. At some point there was a guy in the restraunt who would appear at each table entertaining children making balloons. This became a huge distraction for William no longer focused on eating or the boundaries of proper behavior and created a full time job for my wife and I trying to prevent William from becoming the center of attention as he could often do. After a few visits at Bob Evans the interaction with the balloon guy sometimes where successful and fun. Eventually the interaction with anyone appearing at your table doing tricks and pandering their talents expecting tips became an ordeal we would eventually decide to skip and dine somewhere else. After many years we have returned to Bob Evans and always enjoy the experience of a well prepared egg, toast and bacon breakfast or whatever you order. Our son is in high school now and quite successful. The service at Bob Evans is a huge step above the atmosphere of many unsupervised fast food places where your required to bring your own sanitary wipes and clean your own table. And recently handing my wife the bill she was surprised how affordable it was. Really enjoy...
Read moreSo our curiosity finally brought us in the door to the mystery cousine for dinner. If you're clueless to what it is too, think similar to IHOP. Breakfast all day, lunch and dinner... but a better balanced selection. We had great service and it was pretty quiet that night. Place is very clean. I had the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and biscuits. My son did the good ol' bacon cheeseburger and fries w/ rolls and hubby a chicken parm broccoli and idk... it was really good when I stole it... and banana bread. Bread was soft and burger HUGE. The bottomless pit of a teenage boy, didn't finish it. I was pretty happy in my deep south. The 'steak' breaded without being heavily battered and still moist. Mashed potatoes are pretty creamy. The gravy wasn't spicy. Biscuits are very buttery, fluffy, not flakey. The banana bread was very sweet, has a strong banana flavor and was still moist the next morning. Heads up, if you put in a box with other food, everything is going to smell and have a slight banana flavor! Overall we were pretty happy. It might not be the first place we think of but we'll be back and looking forward to...
