China Wok — Restaurant in Florida

I was generous and gave this place a 3/5 because some of the food was solid. But the service was very, VERY bad. Some of the worst I’ve seen. Specifically the woman taking orders was extremely rude (I try to give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have our bad days, but she was borderline hostile).

Some positives: the location is very convenient. The hot and sour soup was tasty (nice & spicy) with good veggies but skimpy on the protein vs most places. The pork fried rice was solid, although also skimpy on the pork. The chicken wings were cooked nicely but they were not really flavorful so be prepared to add some kind of sauce or seasoning to your taste.

Overall, this is an okay option if time and convenience are your priority and you need a solid meal fast - and don’t mind (possibly) dealing with some surly staff if the woman we dealt with takes your order. But if you have other options available, I would...

The food tasted old, dry, and rubbery. On top of that, I found a rock in my lo mein! When I called and brought the food back to them, they continued to argue with me about the amount of food that was left. This is after I told them I fixed my kids' plates and threw their food away due to the taste. They proceeded to call me a liar and stated it was impossible for there to be a rock in their food or for it to be old. They ended up charging me for egg rolls and the chicken on a stick and refunded the rest of my meal, which was large. While refunding me, I said thank you, and the male owner said, "Don't thank me; we don't need your business here!" I will never order from here again, and neither should anyone else. The owner is unprofessional and does not care about his customers or the quality of his food! They are also not listed on the Better Business Bureau, so the health department will be contacted about this...

The chicken with broccoli tasted like who knows what kind of chicken is that. I wanted to go back and return it, but I didn’t need the aggravation. (You will know why soon)… The wanton soup was decent. We usually eat Chinese food. We know how it is and this food wasn’t good! They where very rude. They have 3 big tables with chairs we started eating there. My youngest son wanted to try my food, so I asked for a paper plate and she say yelling at us in front of other customers “we don’t have plates! this restaurant is only for take out! ” I was surprised by this lady yelling at us like we are invading her property or something… It was embarrassing felt like I wasn’t paying for this food. I responded to her, so why do you have big tables with chairs? She kept yelling… I didn’t understood what she was saying, so we just stop eating, grab the food and left.
