Well, the weekend’s over.

As I drove to the day’s final destination, I felt that old familiar hunger pang begin to strike. Defeated by the lateness of the hour and the impending work week, I found my way to the neighborhood Taco-Rama fast food joint. Resigned, I pulled into the parking lot. Much to the Taco-Rama’s chagrin, I immediately caught the odor of grilled meat and exotic spices perfuming the air. In the parking lot immediately next to the Taco-Rama were three, count them, three beautiful food trucks: One selling Venezuelan burgers, another Mexican tacos, and finally a Peruvian truck. Although it had the most traffic, I chose the tacos from Taco Fiesta El Chigon. The space smells terrific. The people seem great, and the customers were even spicier than the food. Suddenly, a slick dark sedan pulls into the parking lot. Its doors open and a large gentleman with a fanny pack strapped across his chest, wearing Mountain Dew socks and Michael Jordan slides, asks me what’s good. “I don’t work here,” I said, “but if I did, I think I’d go for the tacos.” He apologized, opened the other door to his car, cranked some really great Chicago trap, and ordered a burger. Now, it was a fiesta. The crowd seemed to liven up, and everybody smiled; the music soared. Customers danced in their seats as they ate and, expectantly, I buzzed for my delicious taco and quesadilla. Bidding the accidental party and newfound friends adios, I wound my way home, battling the incredible smells wafting through the thin plastic bag and Styrofoam clamshell that promised multitudes of ravenous satisfaction.

The beef taco was served on a freshly made tortilla with fresh lime, and the pico had plenty of cilantro, which I love. The beef quesadilla? It’s a beef quesadilla; one of the most perfect creations on God’s green earth, and Taco Fiesta’s version is a stellar example! Served with guac, sour cream, and fresh pico de gallo, the humongous quesadilla, cut into thirds, will be enough to make a satisfying lunch tomorrow. It is freshly grilled, crispy in all the right places, melty when you bite into it, and a real power punch of flavor, especially when combined with the orange hot sauce serendipitously added to the bottom of the bag. Delicious and dangerous! Just like food trucks themselves, I guess. You never know what you’re going to get. Tonight, I got a party, a fiesta, and now that I’m home, enjoying the fruits of my adventure, I can heartily say that I highly recommend Taco...

me and my boyfriend were headed to taco bell when i looked over and realized the taco truck weve been wanting to try but always end up going to early when they’re closed was finally open. we’re pretty big on food trucks and try a good majority of those we come across, we parked and walked up, it was 11pm they weren’t too busy but there were people sitting at there tables, i ordered a birria taco, al pastor taco, and chicken taco as they came and my boyfriend ordered a birria burrito. i’ll give it to them everything was seasoned very nicely and cooked very nicely, the food tasted very fresh down to even the limes in my to go box lol, the customer service was very good, you can tell they care about what they are doing.they do have there menu in english and spanish which i thought was pretty cool. although i didn’t eat the burrito my boyfriend rated it 9.7/10, would’ve been 10/10 but compared to a couple other food trucks it lacks in size BUT barely (it would have filled me up 100%) he said it was very flavorful .i didn’t try all the sauces that came inside the box but the birria broth was very good and so was the orangish sauce( not sure what it’s called they also had a green sauce) in the box. we will be coming back to this truck! if i could leave one piece of advice tho, i would totally add some cheese to those tacos and they’d be out of the world. thank...

This is not my first time coming to this food truck. The food is really good, but the service is really bad, I have come on different days. The first time it was good. We came on a Tuesday, there was a nice girl, that took our order right away, she didn’t know much English but she did all she can to give us a great customer service, we order a few tacos and a burrito, really good I can’t complain about it, however my husband that knows Spanish told me that the young guy working with the girl was talking badly to her, you can see tension between them. We loved what we ate so we decided to come again on Saturday, there was a different girl this time. It seems that she doesn’t know what customer service is, really rude when took our order, we wait around 10 minutes for them to notice we were standing outside. When she brought our food out, she literally throw the plate on the table, she looked mad, my husband and I like the food, but the customer service from this particular girl,...

Taco Fiesta El Chingon is a food truck that I found parked in the Chevron station in Sandalfoot Plaza in West Boca. I wandered over to it while my car was being washed. A friendly gentleman named Aldi took my order. I got two tacos- carne asada and lengua. These are Mexican street style tacos (not "Taco Tuesday" hardshell bell-style ones). They use house-made corn tortillas, they sauce them in the beef consume (aka barria broth) so they have a nice orange tint. They are appropriately topped with only chopped white onion and cilantro. They have both green and orange salsas for you to add at will. Due to sautéing in consume, the tacos have a nice little delicate slight crunch to them. Fillings were nice and tasty. 100% will be coming back here. I highly recommend if you went authentic street style tacos!

Hands down the best taco I’ve had since living here the last few years. The flavor, tenderness, freshness and service is top notch for a food truck. Food came out piping hot, plated well for a carryout. He even walked it over to us because we decided to wait in our car. The food truck was very clean, well lit and easy to read menu. There are hundreds of food trucks across SoFlo and this place is now my number one. I came across them in a parking lot trying to get to a Taco Bell in the same plaza. For $34 we ordered 2 birria tacos, 1 al pastor, 2 asada tacos and 1 build your own burrito with chicken. It was worth every penny spent. I will most definitely be back as a permanent customer.
