I placed an order for a birthday cake to be picked up on April 1st. I arrive at 4:15 p.m. to pick up the cake. I waited in the drive thru line for 10 minutes before I even got to the speaker. I get to the speaker and they tell me to go inside. I walked inside, and the cashier was rude from the start. Iām not sure the of the cashierās name, but she had her hair pulled up and had a little facial hair going on. There was one customer in front of me and she kept staring at him and not helping him. Finally, she helps him and then tells me to hold on. After 10 more minutes of standing there, she finally assists me. I tell her Iām there to pick up a cake and I give her the name the order is under. She walks away and tells someone Iām there to pick it up and does NOT let me know anything after that. After 15 minutes of standing there with no information, I decide to sit down and wait. I was told it would be right out. I waited 45 minutes inside, so I decided to walk up again. I asked about the cake and one of the employees mouths just drops. I work in the restaurant industry myself. I get how stressful things are, and I completely understand forgetting sometimes, but this experience was completely awful and the cashier was extremely rude. She laughed that I was upset for waiting that long. Iām assuming it was the manager, kept apologizing over and over again. She was extremely nice and gave me a discount for the long wait, but the cashier honestly was what made the experience terrible. She was rude to every customer. She was not helping an other employee, she just stood around. Then proceeds to LAUGH AT ME. After getting the cake, I was ready to get the hell out of there. I look at the cake, and it said āHappy Bday Hanna.ā It wouldāve taken five more seconds to spell out birthday. The name was misspelled on the cake after I literally spelled it out for them when placing the order. Never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām quite new to the area and was grateful that a DQ was about a 20min drive from me. I decided to check them out.
First time I did was last weekend on Sunday May 11th probably like around 8:30PM. I drove up to the drive thru and asked if they were able to do chocolate blizzard (as opposed to the standard vanilla base) and they responded we āran outā. To my amazement I still decided to order a blizzard for me and my bf (who loves a twist base). So neither of us got what we truly wanted. Ok so not our time but all is well.
Second time was today (05/18/25) in the afternoon say around 2:30PM. Again I drove up to the drive thru and this time I asked if they could do chocolate ice cream for my blizzard base. Wouldnāt you know it I received the same exact response, āsorry we ran outā! This time I had to ask why and I could not make out what was being said to me through the mediocre intercom. So said my peace in the realm of āthis is ridiculous, you guys ran out last weekend too!!ā Just so I can show my grievance.
Mind you I personally drove there twice in one week apart 20min one way at different times of the day and STILL THEY āRAN OUTā of chocolate?!?!?! Youāre DQ.. one of two of the most popular flavors you āran outā??? As an ice cream / dessert place thatās disgraceful! And also pretty embarrassing!
Needless to say I will NEVER be going to that location any longer. Even if i heard the ālogical reasonā why, I still would have reacted the exact same way!
Terribly run and even more horrific is the constant dedication to always disappoint. Congratulations, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe service here tonight at the Fletcher Avenue location at 8pm on 4/12 was atrocious. The drive up window speaker is so muffled the girl working asked us to drive to the window to order. When I ordered 2 small twists on a cone she closed the window and disappeared for about 5 minutes. She handed me the softest saddest cone I had ever seen. Then, she got irritated when I reminded her I ordered a twist not just chocolate. She then proceeded to explain in an annoyed tone that it was a twist. Oh ok. So the vanilla part was hidden under the chocolate. Then I said that the ice cream looked too soft and she said: I just put yours in the freezer. Huh? Ok that explains where she disappeared to. Kind of. Then I suggested we better not have the ice cream something is obviously wrong with it tonight and she just stood there staring at me. At this point my 6 year old is yelling for his ice cream so I said to her to just give me the one because my 12 year old didn't want it anymore because it didn't look right. I asked for my money back for one of the cones and we handed one back to her. Her response was bizarre, she stood there dumbfounded at my request for my money back for one cone. After a moment of disbelief at my request she basically threw my money at me, well actually at my 76 year old father who was driving. It was a disgusting and rude experience and I will never go to that location...
