We don’t have a Denny’s where we are from and we always stay in the Destin area where We love to stop and enjoy Dennys💗 this experience was upsetting. Nothing like the exceptional service we are used to. Mady at the front desk was lovely and welcomed us with a nice smile even though the front area was busy. The server Jamie on the other hand just seemed fed up with the job maybe. We’ve been to multiple restaurants during our stay and we’ve been to restaurants we waited 45 minutes and then 3 hours for food. But the service was so exceptional from one of the only servers who showed up to work that we all tipped graciously and still made good of our experience as she checked and waited on us. so understandably maybe Jamie had a bad day but she chose to serve the public so yes we expected better service. As a former server I couldn’t leave her empty handed but I along with the rest of my table really did not want to tip. We don’t tip based off the kitchen and things that are out of the servers control. But her attitude was definitely under her control. And that just wasn’t the right attitude to have with a couple of friendly & understanding people who were just looking for a good breakfast on our way back on the long road ahead. Upon being placed we were seated for awhile with no drinks. Then they were out of all the drinks we wanted. We realized they had an old coffee cup still from the last guest at the table. The holders for the jelly and condiments were dirty with thick build up. Not once did our server come back to ask for a refill on our drinks. We ordered two appetizers one came out with our food the other we recieved after the food cause we asked why it never came and we were informed it had been sitting in the window. The fries were so over cooked the broke in half like sticks and the mozzarella sticks were so singed they didn’t even have cheese in the middle? The main courses were for the most part a lot better not too much complaints there. Overall we love Dennys just maybe not this specific location...
Read moreI can’t even rate the food because they never served us anything. Let me start from the beginning the AC I guess only works at the front of the building (how convenient) when we walked in they placed us in the very back seems like every person that was either Hispanic or Black was placed toward the back the establishment. I traveled from Texas with a friend and her kids and I had my 2 year old son. I have never in my life been treated so poorly. We tipped the waiter a great amount of money before we even ordered our food because we had a large party of 7 total. I noticed things started to move progressively slow which we didn’t mean the wait time because our check in was some time away. The issue I have is the lack of courtesy for the customer. We had no problems waiting but when everyone who came after us would be able to get their food and eat the food it was a sign for us to go because we are clearly not welcomed. Who ever is the owner of this establishment please watch the camera from the day of May 26th around 10:30am the place was not crowded of not for us to have been treated that way. Please do better and fire the manager there she has no shame whatsoever and clearly only wants a certain type of customer in the establishment when I am sure we would have tipped more than anyone there. The waitress did an amazing job and she should be the manager not the lady you have who won’t even look the customer in the face. She knew exactly what she was doing that day and I’ll make sure this gets sorted. I was on vacation last month so I didn’t have much time but I have plenty...
Read moreI went to denny's with a friend of mine this morning and between the two of us we ordered $50 worth of food. Included in that food was a vanilla milkshake and a strawberry banana smoothie. By the time we got out of the building the milkshake and a smoothie for basically the consistency of liquid. It was the first thing we tried when we left. We set the rest of the food down and brought the shakes back inside to has been placed them. The manager, I believe his name is John, who is the general manager flatly refused to replace them. Everybody knows that milkshake smell and that he's sorry but he would not replace them. I said we just ordered $50 worth of food and I didn't bring anything back in except these shapes because they were improperly made. I have worked in the food and beverage industry for 20 years and I might have complained at a restaurant twice in my life. This time would be the second time. He just plain out said no. He obviously doesn't understand the business rule that repeat business is much more beneficial then a bad review on the internet, which I assured him that I would write. There were only two tables in the restaurant at the time, and you would think that you could use the repeat business. Foolish management. Poor guy ought to find a new line of work. Customer service is not...
