I used to visit Dice's when it was on Gall Bvld back in the day and it was a pretty good place to eat. So my wife and I go in today and order a chili dog large fry and i get a foot long Kraut dog and a banana split. total was 17 dollars. We get the dogs and the fry first and I have to say I was way underwhelmed. A sauerkraut dog should be piled a bit with said kraut and this dog was barely breaking the surface of the bun and spread out. i would said barely a spoonful. The dogs were overcooked and shriveled and the large fry was a pitiful bit that didn't even come to the brim of the container they brought out . Also the potato was old or the fry grease was old because that is how it tasted. My wife's chili dog was overcooked as well but she did say the chili was ok. The banana split was ok but one half of the banana was way overripe to the point of black mush. I like a ripe banana but this should not have been served. Only save was the rest of the banana was flavorful and the ice cream was fine. This could have been much more than what was given to us at this visit in presentation and care in food prep. I should have been blown away at the dogs and fries for place that touts on serving hot dogs but not on this particular trip. Place was busy and everyone else seemed to enjoy...
Read moreNow this is an ice cream store. We went to Dairy Queen for a hot fudge Sunday . Paid $ 5.99 for one and also bought another one, only to be giving a small amount of soft serve ice cream with hot fudge and that was it . Half the size I was expecting and no napkins. Half way through when your hands are all sticky we had to get up wait our turn to ask for some napkins . We did get two but my Sunday was all melted . No oh yes sorry , nothing . But Dice's was not even that way . When we was getting our Sundays order we ask about any nuts that was not peanut or roasted , no was there answer but could make it out of this ice cream that had Carmel and pecans she added some hot fudge , whip cream , and a cherry on top .now that was one very good Sunday and they even gave us napkins with out needing to ask for them . The store was very interesting with small old stuff all round the place they even have a small to medium statue of George Burns , for sale for around $ 40 I think.they made our trip there enjoyable and very memorable may they have lots of customers and hope you enjoy it like we did . Oh and they have all kinds of hamburger and hot dogs and other food besides ice...
Read moreJudy is one of the sweetest people I ever met and is awesome to work for. She gave me my first job back in 2000, I was 14 đ¤ Those were some of the best days of my life. Then, Dices was directly across the street from Zephyrhills Cinema 6 ( I know it's Cinema 10, now). Was a great spot to hang out with friends, listen to the old school juke box and of course enjoy a sweet treat along side Judy's top secret and top notch sloppy joe ( mine with cheese and pickles). Friday and Saturday nights were always swingin. Having the theater, bowling alley and Dices all within a short walk of each other, almost guaranteed folks a good time. It was really awesome, for me, to watch these 3 'mom n pop' businesses thrive and to provide safe, pleasant and fond memories for their community and work cohesively in support of each other... Thank you Dices/ Judy, for letting me be a part of that. Love you...
