Heidi, The server that took my order over the phone never put it in. When my husband arrived 30 minutes later to pick it up she proceeded to tell him that the order was not there and we must of called the wrong location. My husband called me and when I double checked the number I called, it was the Wellington location. I recognized her voice as the one who took my order. I spoke to her and she would not take accountability for making a mistake. I then Asked to speak to a manager, and apparently there was no manager to speak to. I was told her name was a Clara-and she would be coming in later. At no point was I offered a discount or my meal to be comp’d, my husband ended up waiting another half hour for our food to be ready. Clara stuck her head out for a second and offered a misely “I’m sorry” and then dismissed my husband. The churrasco I paid $25 for was overcooked and full of fat. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is attentive, and the food really delivers on flavor. We tried the churrasco, the baby churrasco from the lunch menu, ropa vieja, and calamari fritos. To start, the chicharritas were a perfect appetizer, thin, crispy, and very addictive. The churrasco was tender and perfectly seasoned, while the baby churrasco was just the right portion for lunch without sacrificing flavor. The ropa vieja was rich, comforting, and cooked to perfection. The calamari fritos were crispy outside and tender inside with just the right amount of seasoning. All of the main dishes came with the classic combination of white rice, sweet plantains, and black beans, making each plate feel complete and satisfying. Read moreI called to make a order for delivery and the female manager who refused to give her name said that they don’t do delivery even though I’ve ordered from them multiple times and have had my order delivered. Never mind the fact that it clearly states no contact delivery on the website, she then tells me if I don’t want my order she’ll make it to where I can’t order from there at all, I don’t know who owns this business but they really should find better management because the manager was not making good decisions, and doesn’t have any customer service skills. Further more she is bringing down the business by costing the business returning customers. A good manager would have stated unfortunately we do not offer delivery anymore, I apologize for the inconvenience but is there any other way I can assist you.
