I really liked this restaurant when it first opened. It has just gone downhill FAST. The level of customer service is definitely NOT where it should be. The last time we ordered through Slice, only because that’s the first thing that comes up when you opt for delivery. Approximately an hour and a half later I called to ask where our pizza was and the girl responded “Oh we forgot to plug in the Slice Tablet” I mean for real??! We finally got our pizza over 2 hours after ordering it. No discount given, no “I’m sorry” from management. Nothing. We decided to give them another try tonight. They completely messed up the order and forgot the breadsticks altogether. Maybe not a big deal for most, but when you have a hungry 4 year old that is literally only wanting the breadsticks it becomes a big deal. I even called the store after we order to let them Know we had placed an order through Slice in case they “forgot to plug it in again”. When I called to ask where our breadsticks were and why we received a miniature pizza instead of the Medium that we ordered, the manager got on the phone. She just stated that she had adjusted the price for the missing breadsticks and that she suggested calling the restaurant next time instead of ordering through an app. No apology and she was very short and rude. If you can’t figure out how to use an app delivery service with your restaurant than here’s a hint for you…don’t use it. I will never order from this establishment again. So let down. Terrible customer service, especially from a manager. I’ve been in the service industry for over 20 years and would never dream of speaking to a guest the way she...
Read moreI had a bad experience here last night. I ordered ahead and picked up for my visitors who are vegetarian. I prepaid so the guy just handed me my order and said "if something isn't on your pizza, it's because the day shift didn't prep it". That's really nice to know after I drove 25 minutes and already paid for my food. Is this really how they do business here? How hard would it have been to grab and prep a few items at some point during the shift? There were two staff at the time. The ingredients that they did use didn't even look fresh and check the photos to see how very little they put on a sub. I get the order back and there's no plant-based sausage, but there certainly was chicken chunks randomly placed on both different items I ordered. Why exactly was this done to a vegetarian order?? The plant-based sausage was the main point for going here. I had to toss my whole order since it had meat on it and waste even more time finding new meals for my company. Reed (maybe that's his name?) also talked about looking for a new job. That sounds like a pretty good idea since he doesn't seem to care about the one job (making the pizza that's ordered) he has at this one. I liked this location, but I am afraid I can't return here if I can't get what I ordered and what I do get is...
Read moreUsually we are partial to non-chain/franchise pizza’s but we have been seeing a lot of action on Social Media with positive feedback so we gave Donatos a shot.
Pros: Convenient location with plenty of parking. Lots of staff, perhaps even too much. Even though you ordered at the counter if you dine in, they bring the food to your table and the manager even came by to check on our satisfaction.
Cons: I’m pretty sure they forgot our order, or perhaps thought we were a carry out. We waited a little over 30 minutes for our pizza, and after a staff member stopped by asking if we had gotten it yet (acting a little surprised when asking the question), we heard a bustle of activity and it came out shortly after that. Dine in is limited with only 3 booths total in the main area. They did have a “community room” that was also open with additional seating and perhaps additional tables will be added to the main area after COVID restrictions are loosened.
The pizza itself was pretty good. We enjoyed it more then something like a Domino’s or Pizza Hut, but as picky pizza people I wouldn’t put it on par with a family pizza restaurant.
I’d consider this a solid take out choice, but not our family’s cup of tea for dinning out.
Give it a shot, again, much of the social...
