We took our family of 8 to eat here. The food was old to say the least. Our daughter had food poisoning. Let’s start with the French onion soup that had a syrup consistency and so incredibly salty you couldn’t eat it. The mac n cheese as a side was ice cold and had a funky taste, all the med well steaks were so raw that they were purple inside. Our cups were empty throughout the whole meal. The manager Jessica Perez came to the table and started taking things back and apologizing. The steaks that were raw were cooked in a microwave and came back in 3 min. My husband could not cut into our daughters steak as it was rubbery. He said you put this in the microwave and the manager Jessica denied it. Looking at the steak……no new grill markings and how do you turn a raw steak into med well in 3 min. If not microwaved? It was microwaved. We had now been in there over 2 1/2 hours total and my husband asked for the check and to go boxes. I went to the bathroom and it was so incredibly filthy. Toilets not flushed, paper towels and used toilet paper on the floor in the stalls. Garbage was over flowing. Wet counter tops with hair on it. I got back to the table and my husband boxed all the food up and paid the 350.00 bill. The manager did not offer to comp anything. I called the next day as our daughter was sick throwing up. I spoke to Jessica Perez the manager that happened to be there the night before. I told her the situation as she was very well aware of it. She told us they were short staffed…….yet we didn’t see our unpleasant waitress the whole time. Not even serving other tables. She said they had men servers so that’s why the bathroom was filthy. We were offered a gift card. No way! We want our money back. Our daughter is sick! I was told she could not offer me anything back only a gift card and I could have corporate after she put me on hold for a few minutes. When I asked her who she was talking to and how I wanted her bosses number she once again offered me corporates number. I asked for her name and then asked for corporates number she hung up on me and told me I’m raising my voice. I am disgusted to say the least. Our daughter has food poisoning and this restaurant likes to play victim? Corporate will be called after the owners of this franchise is contacted. Do not waste your...
Read moreWe went to LongHorn Steakhouse today. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive — we really want to highlight how great she was. She absolutely deserves 5 stars for her service!
However, the experience took a turn when a woman approached us — who never greeted us or introduced herself as the manager. She wasn’t wearing a name tag or anything to indicate her role, so at first, we assumed she was just another guest.
Before our visit, we had actually called the restaurant to ask in advance if it would be okay to bring our service dog in training. We were told it wouldn’t be a problem. Upon arrival, we also asked again at the front desk and were given the green light.
Despite all of that, this woman — who turned out to be the manager — approached us later and treated us in an extremely rude and unprofessional way. In a harsh tone, she asked, “Is that a service dog?” and showed no empathy or understanding whatsoever.
As a manager, she should know how to speak to guests and handle situations respectfully — especially when someone is clearly trying to do the right thing.
This was our 11-week-old puppy’s very first time in a restaurant. She is still too young to be fully vaccinated, and because of how the manager reacted, we were forced to place her on the dirty floor — which could be dangerous for her health. She wasn’t bothering anyone. She was lying calmly on her blanket, mostly on our lap, not causing any disturbance.
Had we known this would happen, we never would have come to LongHorn. We did everything right — we called ahead, we asked again at the entrance, and we were kind and cooperative. Yet we left feeling humiliated and guilty for putting our young puppy in that position, just because we weren’t confident enough in that moment to speak up and leave.
Because of how she treated us, we’ve decided not to return to this LongHorn location. It’s incredibly disappointing — especially since we were initially welcomed warmly.
To be fair, we want to be transparent in our review:
Manager: 0 stars Server: 5...
Read moreThis LongHorn knocked it out of the park for us!!! We started our evening at Outback on University and after waiting 30 minutes to be seated and only 5 tables filled in that restaurant ( I should add this was a Sunday at 3:45 pm so not a busy time period) we were finally told we could sit but not at 1 of the numerous available booths like we requested but at an open table and we were wanting more privacy for our 28th Wedding Anniversary but were told sorry we could not sit at a booth and after requesting management to see why we could not sit at a booth including one just 3 feet away no manager ever came to speak with us so after this very bad experience we decided to not dine there and left and headed for LongHorn where we were greeted and sat right away and our Amazing waitress Emma was there 1 minute later and returned just minutes later with our drinks and bread (I should add that this restaurant was very busy with numerous tables filled) but they were just completely on top of their game and everything we ordered came hot and delicious and quick and we were just Amazed and had a most Fabulous experience and just would like to give kudos to the manager, waitress Emma, and their kitchen staff who all made what started out as a bad night into a very Excellent evening!!!...
