Me and my family just got takeout from here, and it is effing amazing. I was ecstatic when I saw their "coming soon" sign about a month ago, and even though I'm not a Muslim, I was looking forward to this place opening. It was worth the wait, this food is freshly prepared, but either call it in, get it delivered, or have some Turkish press coffee or hot tea while you wait. I had the Mix Meat Grill with the Lentil Soup (this isn't a combo, but I wanted both items anyway) and my wife had the Mix Meat as well, but with Tabouli. Our kids each got something different, and everyone enjoyed their choices. My youngest son is friends with an Iraqi family, and he was already clued into the cuisine, and he had no criticisms. We all had baklava, and it was easily some of the best that I have ever had. The lentil soup and Tabouli were good compliments to the Mix Meat, as the rice does kind of dry it out, but honestly, the dish is delicious, if you're not into the soup or Tabouli, just have a drink handy. We ordered across the menu, so we each got a shot at what was available, and we will be spending lots of money here. I highly recommend this place. The owners are gracious, and the...

This has become one of our favorite places. The owners are extremely kind, very generous and take pride in serving only the best & freshest foods.
I highly recommend the Lamb kabob over rice. It's so flavorful and delicious. I am not sure how they prepare their rice but its fluffy and the portions are large. (Always end up taking half home!) Today we had the mixed appetizer which contained a fresh salad with onions, tomatoes, romaine lettuce tossed with olive oil and lemon juice, as well as their delicious hummus, tabouli salad and baba-ganoush served with warm pita bread. We also ordered 8 pieces of their homemade baklava (pistachio and walnut) and a side order of their falafel (which is probably the best falafel I've ever tasted!)
To finish it off, we enjoyed a cup of tea and it was properly sugared & hot.
The restaurant is small yet very clean. It's an open kitchen so you know your food is being prepared freshly. The owners are very gracious and often bring our samples of their falafel to try. Truly a gem that we are so happy to have in...
Read moreI am down in Jacksonville in the Cecil Field / Chaffee area for work. We work with the military on a mobile flight simulator that we move wherever a unit requests or needs it. This is our 4th or 5th trip here and our unit rep that we usually deal with always has new and unique restaurants for us to try out. I must say that the food, service, and people here are nothing short of amazing and indicative of most of the middle eastern people I had dealings with while in the military. If you really want to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new, this is it. I got the mixed shwarma plate with basmati rice. For my two sides, I got the dunya salad and this little meatball looking thing that I can't remember the name of now, but the meat has and array of spices that are like fireworks going off in your mouth, the rice is delicate and almost sweet to the taste against the spices, and the salad just finished the meal out perfect. I will most assuredly be coming back here the next time...
