Ordered 4 subs without pickle mushroom onion etc. And yet all 4 came with pickle mushroom onions etc I guess I should be proud of them they knew to put the right type of bread on the subs. Now I ordered online thinking people can follow simple directions after all we are supposed to follow common laws and common sense. For example if we see a red light when driving we are supposed to stop because red light means stop. We follow directions we use common sense. But apparently this store has to take an hour to make four subs that are from the menu. Oh if your allergic to pickles you tend to not want pickles on your food right after all common sense. But no at this "restaurant" common sense and following simple directions is to difficult for the workers at this store on the closing shift of a Saturday. I wouldn't recommend this place even to someone I don't like.
Edit the management is one condescending takes over her workers when customers try to speak to said workers. And claims that orders were perfect then after checking the receipt goes oh well why didn't you come in? Yes as if coming in would make it were orders are done properly. I forgot that you have to be a babysitter or a supervisor for this food establishment oh wait don't we have a manager on duty why yes we do and her name is Andrea. You would think she could do her job as her responsibilities for that role is simple. But no she not only shouldn't be in management she shouldn't even be working in customer service because she can turn away some customers who might of become long term regulars instead she drives business away. I have to say I also find it weird how a group of guys can't read simple english yet they can speak it or they don't understand simple instructions which is impressive considering they had to do the interview process. This tells me that the company is probably either A. lack of management through out the whole country. B lack of training and proper work ethic in Jacksonville Florida. I think this is a good way to kill your business considering orders not being done properly management trying to play the blame game with a customer who was speaking in a reasonable tone and such. Andrea I do hope you see this review because then this personal message can be directed to you. I understand your a woman and I understand in our society women are disrespected and considered pretty objects to look at and that's it. But we live in America have higher standards for yourself considering we have to set an example with how we hold ourselves in daily life. If I wanted to argue with a child I would argue with a child not go to a sub place to order a sub and then run into a manager who had the emotional state of a...
Read moreUpdated 4/13/25 I thoroughly appreciate the response I received here. I've ordered a few times from this location since seeing it and received the correct items every time. Thank you for making this one of my go-to orders again! I really do love the food here, so it's wonderful to get what I expect and at the quality you always provide!
Original 3 star review: The subs are consistently great, but ordering through UberEats, they mix up Sea Salt and Salt & Vinegar chips about 50% of the time. Leaving reviews on UberEats gets me nowhere, and calling the store, I'm asked to hold and immediately placed on hold before being able to get a word out, so maybe they'll see the feedback here.
For the chips mix-up, I understand the names are very similar, but the app distinguishes between Sea Salt and Salt & Vinegar. It's not ambiguous, and it's super frustrating to expect a plain flavor and receive the strongest flavor you offer in its place.
And as for the phone, don't ask if you're just going to do it, either way. Just say "please hold." Super rude, and the overall experience has felt super dismissive between both the repeated feedback left on UberEats and the attempt to call. Maybe a different location can provide better consistency, so I'll be trying that...
Read moreFirehouse is always a staple when it comes to a good sub sandwich. One of my favorites, Hook and Ladder 🪜 is something I almost always get. The husband is always a fan of the Smokehouse brisket sandwich on wheat which is their version of a BBQ sub. Both are very good and if you combine the two you will get the (currently limited time offered flavor) The Smoking Triple Stack (photo provided on white bread). Which has all the meats mentioned in the previous sandwiches.
Sometimes the sandwiches don't have as much meat to them and experience will vary. But most visits they are so good and always a great sub place when the craving strikes.
You can get them plain or as a combo with a drink and chips. This location has the nice cola machine where you can choose your own flavors. The place was clean and the people were friendly. I like to go between this location and Publix when I'm in the mood for a good sub sandwich. 🥪 The photos don't do the flavor justice, if you haven't gave them a try you should!
Some of the most popular ones I know of are: Hook and Ladder, BBQ Brisket, Sweet/spicy meatball, and Turkey...
