Love this place. Really impressive place and beautiful with incredible and best live entertainment in Englewood Florida. I'm originally from Illinois and just got to see Mathew Curry band from Bloomington Illinois who has played with Peter Frampton, BB King and Steve Miller. Peter Frampton calls Mathew the next Guitar hero and is incredibly gifted. His drummer was recently David Lee Roth's drummer of Van Halen at his residency in LosVegas and has now joined Mathew's band. All Mathew's blues music is original and awesome with a unique sound all his own. He's coming back again in a few weeks on his tour here in Florida so dont miss him. Got a big bonus that night with Dave Chastain showing up who is also from Illinois,Peoria that has moved down here to Northport Florida and has his band here now to. Dave was a big time music star and sold out stadiums back in the day playing with the biggest names in show business. Dave Chastain is playing at Englewoods on Dearborn in Englewood Florida February 24th at 6pm. You dont want to miss the Dave Chastain band that night because he is one of the best guitar players in existence and made a few top hits back in the day. He makes that guitar talk like you never have heard like Mathew Curry. They are both friends from Illinois and Dave Chastain was an inspiration to Mathew as he was coming up as a talented guitarist. It was an incredible opportunity to see Dave Chastain to show up when Mathew was there playing to get up on stage and jam with him. Be there February 24th 2023 to see the Dave Chastain band and you'll be glad you did. A truly God gifted entertainer and an incredibly nice guy. Englewoods on Dearborn is an awesome beautiful place and all the people running it are awesome to. It's so nice to have such a cool place for the best food and best live entertainment around with an awesome...
Read moreThe place is beautiful - the musical instrument fountain in the outdoor seating area is truly unique. Nice laid back vibe with live music. First visit: great service and food. Second visit: pretty much awful. Laid back vibe now morphed into a restaurant circus of chaos. Excessive wait time for drink and water reorders. One small bowl of bread provided for table in 1.5 hours. After ordering, our party of 6 was informed that almost half the menu items were not available. Server explained that the kitchen was swamped. Food arrived 1.5 hours after we sat down at 6:30 PM. More than one entre served with salt as the primary ingredient. Commented about the extremely salty food to the server who said, "well you ate it all." My friend(who was a restaurant owner in NY) discussed the poor service and menu bait and switch situation with the owner. Owner, non responsive. Tracked down the owner an hour later, as he was holding court -telling quips and joking with patrons- at the restaurant's small front bar, far removed from the dinning area. I asked him to give me a reason to patronize his establishment again and was told "your friend offended me, if he had a restaurant he should know that everyone has an off night." Owner stated "if you want to write a bad review on Facebook, go ahead." He also told me "I told my chef he needs to correct the problem........people make a reservation and show up a half hour after the time and that make problems for us." I asked the owner what any of that had to do with our dinning experience. He didn't provide an answer. Owner offered our party free drinks as we were leaving. Our bill included up charges for larger drink pours that we didn't request and had higher priced entrees than...
Read moreOur party of eight was very happy with our decision to try this restaurant. We were seated by a lovely hostess in an outdoor courtyard with trees and lights and a stage with live music. Our party chose an appetizer of coconut shrimp with a sweet and very slightly spicy sauce (maybe mango?) and the homemade chips with ranch. For entrees we had ribs, shrimp scampi, Mr Peepers Chicken, and seared ahi tuna (an appetizer as their meal) and not one bit of food was left on anyones plate. I had a beach beer shot (Licor 43 with cold form cream) that was heavenly. Another guest had a red wine and blackberry brandy sangria that she loved. Key lime pie and chocolate lava cake was devoured for dessert. We had a nice slow dinner and enjoyed the live band and watching people dancing. One star was left off only as our server was a bit scattered but in her defense tried hard, seemed new and it was very busy. It was odd that multiple times she took half the tables order, left and went to another table and then came back again. This happened during placing our drinks, ordering our food and when we ordered dessert. But overall food and venue were exceptional and I believe the owner or manager came over to check that we enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be back on our next visit...
