BEST LITTLE THEATER IN THE AREA!!!!
Last night I was lucky enough to attend Lemon Bay Playhouse's latest production of this season. It's a hilarious comedy called LYING IN STATE. I laughed so hard, went home with a belly ache from laughing!!!! Ably directed by Ric Goodwin, the cast was just phenomenal!
Judy Tilley who played the demanding role of Edna, portraying the ex-wife of the deceased, did a great job
Trish Campbell absolutely captured the role of Buttons, (who seems to have been more than a playmate to most men in the play and then some,) and being that this was her first appearance on this particular stage, I can only hope that she will return for many, many more plays.
Judy Glynn also was great in the role of Margo, being cast as the supposedly grieving widow, but happy that her husband Marty is gone, so I have to say that all the ladies were in top form.
Henry Reisinger, Jr. played Wally, the son of the Governor (Fred) and this is turn was played by Gary Seddon, Jim Manns portrayed Herb and Bob La Salle was Harry. All these gentlemen did marvelous jobs with those sometimes demanding roles.
In these times of so much tragedy and unhappiness in the world, what a refreshing way to add some levity and allow everyone to go home with a smile on their faces. This was just a very, very funny play!
KUDOS TO ALL...
Read moreI ordered tickets for October, the hurricane came. They gave me 4 days notice to use those tickets in December. No refunds! The play You Know I Can't Hear You When the Water is Running was awful. My friends and I left during intermission. Out $75.00. The first act was about a couple that argued for over a half an hour. After hurricane Ian, the last thing we needed was this barage of yelling, and subject matter, we actually got stressed out. Hoping for some laughs...

The voices and the sound effects were great but it wasn’t what I expected it wasn't a play. It’s a wonderful life is my favorite Christmas story and I was just so disappointed we didn’t even stay for the...
