La Stanza Ristorante — Restaurant in Florida

This was a second visit to this restaurant—-we were there when they first opened and did not have a good experience so in all fairness we went again 3 nights ago and we will not return.The restaurant has great ambience, a nice bar, and potential —however, the service was horrible. We had reservations and the place was fairly full so had to wait on a table—no big deal—but waiting 20 minutes for a server was and we ended up being there almost 3 hours just to get our order. Our server had to come from another area and she was NOT happy about it. She said they were slammed and not enough help—-she took our drink order—left and did not come back for at least another 20 or 30 minutes to take our order—-once our order arrived we didnt see her again until we flagged her down to order another drink—-which sat on the bar for 10 minutes before she brought it over to us. There was only one bartender who appeared to be multi-tasking and trying to serve the bar, take orders, deliver orders, and get payments. I got the grouper which was fine—a little over done but was tasty—-my husband got the Veal Oscar which was tough. Salad and veggies were good. It was my husbands birthday and we had planned on dessert but didnt want to be another hour trying to order. The waitress never came to ask if we needed anything the whole time we were at the table. THE RESTAURANT IS SHOWING ALL THE SYMPTOMS OF ANOTHER FAILING ESTABLISMENT ! I had been to the place 2 times, both with a group. The first time was very average overall, so as an ex-restaurant owner I wanted to give it a second chance. The restaurant was almost empty, after having a couple drinks at the bar, we sat at our table and ordered an appetizer and the main course. After an extensive wait our salads came in, but no appetizer was served. When I asked the server on what happened to my appetizer, she was not the least bit apologetic and very casually said she can get one put in for me. So, I asked for the manager of the restaurant, and to my and also to all the members of my group's astonishment, she said that there was no manager present, supposedly he was on vacation. Not being satisfied I asked her who is responsible with this place tonight, she referred me to the bartender. The bartender had no interest on listening to a client who was not happy, so I let that go. After all this, as I expected I was served a plate ( Their seafood special $24.99 ) that had barely boiled 2 average size shrimps, 2 average size x and a very small piece of tasteless fish. I am normally very positive and love to comment on good food and service, but this one I had to tell...

So we had an amazing night here to celebrate another year of working for a company that's on the up and up. Food was great as always. The only issue we had was with the female bartender behind the bar. A small group of us went to the bar as the servers were too busy at the moment to take our drink orders. The bartender seen us, walked by us multiple times only to stop at a few other patrons before acknowledging us. Rudely asking what we wanted, we all told her, she blatantly rolls her eyes and begins to make our drinks. I ordered the wife and I Patron margaritas which were sour mix heavy. Our drinks were set on the bar and before I could thank her, her back was turned and she was gone. Second time around was worse as she decided she wanted to see IDs (with a nasty tone in her voice). My wife asked why she didn't check our IDs the first time around and she laughs and walks away to make the drinks. I was not the only person who had an incident like such with said bartender. Luckily there was a gentleman behind the bar that was more then willing to help us and took care of us with a smile. Thank you for your help sir. I will definitely be back as the food was amazing, but I will never ask to be helped by the awnry...
