Evie’s Tavern & Grill — Restaurant in Florida

Just a horrible experience. My wife and I packed the kids up for what was supposed to be a nice lunch and mini golf.

We cut through the bar to the outdoor dining area. The staff completely ignored us from the beginning and then when we did get the staff member’s attention she was rude. We asked if we needed to be seated and she said , “seat yourself “. Which was fine.

All the available tables were left uncleared from previous customers but we sat down and waited. After about 10 minutes of being completely ignored. I went to the bar and asked if we could have a few menus and our table cleared off. The bartender who seemed to be in charge said they would have someone right on it. So I went back to the table to wait . And I waited another 15 minutes before a server came by. I asked again if we could have our table bussed . She said it would be another 20 minutes unless I moved to one the high tops they already cleaned . So I moved . I watched as 3 other tables were tended to probably another 15 minutes. Not once were we even given a menu, drinks, anything . It was like they were going out of there way to give us a hard time. So instead of totally losing my mind on anyone I decided to leave.

It was me , my wife , my 6 year old son and my infant daughter just wanting to have a nice lunch and have some fun. It was totally ruined by the waitstaff.

I don’t think we will be going back to the beeridge location. Total disappointment maybe she didn’t like my retired Army hat or something but even my wife thought it was something personal.

I hope the waitstaff works whatever they’re going through out. Maybe they need more help. Either way we were really let down by...

I have to say this one was a miss for me. I went at a little after 10pm on a Thursday and it wasn't busy. Not sure if it was due to shifts ending, but my guest and I were not treated, sat ourselves, then waited close to 15 minutes before a young lady came. She was not our waitress. She did get our drink order and said she would get our waiter. Now I love margaritas and I order them frequently. This was a miss. We ordered a Buffalo Chicken pizza (had a bite from one from the Evie's on Main...incredible) and a Tomato Caprese. These were also misses. My Tomato Caprese came out and the tomatoes were so hard I had to send it back. It took so long to get our pizza so when it came out extra, extra crispy we had to send it back it was inedible. Through all of our food and drinks being sent back not once did the manager come out to find out why. They did take care of the bill even though I got a second pizza and took it home. Now like I stated I don't know if it was just an off night every place has them I know. Being in the hospitality/customer service industry is hard and perfection isn't possible. I will try them out again in the future, everyone deserves a second chance at a great first impression. I'll keep...

The food here is better-than-average comfort food and a good value for the money. The fries are excellent, crispy and hot. There's popcorn from an old fashioned popper while you wait. The chili is great too. The burgers are especially good.

A couple of downsides though: the service is just okay apparently because the servers are very young and poorly trained. More important, I have a disability. There is a slippery on-the-floor glass TV screen just as you walk in. I almost slipped on it because I didn't see it. It's a very dumb idea and a real hazard! One more difficulty related to disability: It is almost impossible for me to sit at the tables because the chairs are wooden and quite uncomfortable. They also have no booths, let alone half booths which are very helpful to me as a short disabled person because I can actually put my feet on the floor and sit straight. In restaurants that have them, they are usually upholstered and therefore much more comfortable than regular table seating and shallower and more adjustable then regular booths.

To end on a positive note, there's a big Olaf ice cream shop right next door, a great way to end a much better than average Sports Bar...
