If I could give this Firehouse Subs location a quarter of a star, I would. Iâve now ordered from this spot three separate times via DoorDash, thinking maybeâjust maybeâtheyâd get it right. Unfortunately, not once have they managed to deliver a correct order. Not a single time.
Most recently, I ordered a smoked turkey sub with lettuce, tomato, chopped pickle, deli mustard, and a pickle spear. What I received was, frankly, embarrassing. No chopped pickle. No deli mustard. No pickle spear. But they did manage to pile on an abundance of waterlogged chopped lettuce, which turned the bread soggy and left the sandwich tasting like warm deli turkey on damp cardboard. For almost $17, I expected a well-made sub with the basic ingredients I selectedânot this flavorless mess.
It really makes me question whether this location has any quality assurance process in place. Is there anyone checking orders before they go out? Is there leadership here that cares about consistency or customer satisfaction?
Iâve given this location more chances than most would. I wanted to believe it was just a fluke. It wasnât. At this point, Iâll never spend another dime here, and Iâm seriously considering switching to a different sub chain altogether. When I have to go to the grocery store to buy deli mustard just to make my $17 sandwich edible, something is very, very wrong.
Avoid this location...
Read moreNot sure why this Summerfield Square (Riverview) location is putting checked for accuracy stickers on the bag and then failing to check the items in the bag. I placed an order on 8/24/24 at 159pm - gentleman that took the order was pleasant. Can see on the receipt they taped to the bag, his hand written note in ink to include the Captain Sorensen's sauce for a large sub. I was told there would be a wait, so I left and went next door to the Dog Gone Holistic store to purchase some dog food. Came back and walked up to the counter - she confirmed my name and handed me the bag with this checked for accuracy sticker. I asked her if she put the Captain Sorensen's sauce in the bag - she looked right at me and said, I just put it in there. Get home and there a single pack of spicy golden mustard - very funny. I guess this is what happens when you leave the extra money to the fireman fund or equipment they are promoting when you pay and don't leave a tip for employees on fast-food takeout - probably why they started those stickers (the box marked, checked by - was blank) and why I stopped going to firehouse subs. Too many mistakes on the take out orders and lack of meat on the sandwiches. I only ordered from here because it was next door to the Dog Gone Holistic store. check # 20024 was taped to the bag - I did not get a...

I will never order from Firehouse Subs again. I placed an order through their app, paid extra for delivery, and then sat around for over two hours with no food and no update. The driver never showed. When I called the store, instead of making things right, they flat-out refused to remake my sandwiches for me to pick up myselfâdespite the fact that I had ALREADY paid for the order and delivery.
Apparently, once the sandwiches sat there for hours waiting for a no-show driver, that was my problem. No apology, no urgency, no effort to fix itâjust an infuriating âwe canât do that.â So Iâm out the money, out the food, and theyâre out a customer for life.
If you want cold, stale sandwiches (or maybe no sandwiches at all), unhelpful staff, and the privilege of wasting your time and money, Firehouse Subs has you covered. Otherwise, take your business somewhere that values...
