I love homegoods, but I will not be returning to this location! I visited on Wednesday 12/20/23 to purchase 3 lamps that I had scoped out just the day before. The shades on two lamps had dents & some markings on them, so I asked an employee if it was possible to swap out just the shades. They spoke to the manager over the headset who said they couldn’t swap them, but offered to take off $10 per lamp. The floor associate then let the cashiers know what was agreed upon via headset as well. Well, when I got to the front to check out, the cashier walked over to my cart to look at the lamp shades, then decided to change what was already in place. She said she would only take off $5 for one lamp and $10 for the other, further stating that I could use a magic eraser to take the marks off of the shade. I asked her what changed from the time I was at the back of the store speaking with another employee to the short time it took me to walk to the check out line & she didn’t have any reasoning. I then informed her that I did not want the 2 lamps anymore & proceeded to only purchase the third one that I picked out.
I had every intention to pay the full price for all 3 lamps, unfortunately their rude employee caused the store to miss out on a $200+ sale. I’ll gladly make the drive over to the Brandon location...

Read moreVery rude elderly lady served me today. She was talking to the other associate about when she could take a break. She asked me if I'd like a credit card and I said "no thanks, I have one". She proceeded with the transaction and put my pump soap in a big bag with paper napkins and a wood riser. I asked if she could put the soap in a small bag. She abruptly said "I do not have a small bag". I went on my way and noticed there WERE small bags at the last cashier's...
