Stayed here last weekend for an event. Used my points (Marriott category 2) for a two night stay. When I arrived at the hotel around 3pm, I was immediately greeted by Christy and Chad, who thanked me for being a platinum rewards member, upgraded me to a suite, and informed me of the hotel amenities.
My studio suite (about 300sqft) was on the fourth floor and was very clean and comfortable. The bedroom had a nice king bed and a 55 inch tv. The living room had a work desk and another 55 inch tv. The bed was a bit firm, but the pillows and blankets made it comfortable for me to sleep nicely. The tv had a good amount of channels and also had some applications for streaming. However, I noticed that when I turn on the TV, sometimes both TVs turn on if the remote is close to both of the TV's. I did take advantage of the coffee in the room, and it was standard good coffee.
The bathroom was clean and even spacious for Fairfield Inn standards. The water pressure was quite high in the sink, but just right for the walk in shower. There were no issues in getting hot water. The was a generic cleansing bar, but they did have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash by Paul Mitchell in pumps. The towels were good and plentiful. There also was a hair dryer, but did not use it.
The hotel provided free continental breakfast, which was open from 7 to 10 on weekdays, and 6 to 10 on weekends. It is about the standard breakfast provided by most business class hotels with cereal, bagels, muffins, fruits, yogurt, and waffles. There also was a small selection of hot items like scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. There was a coffee and tea area, as well a small juice fountain with apple and orange juice. The plastic cups are very difficult to open. The seating was ample and there was a large tv to watch the news. There was a gym (with a stepper, treadmill, weights, and exercise ball) and pool, big did not take advantage of it. There also was a business center and a small public seating area with TV. The background music was mostly popular from today.
The service was very friendly and helpful, with Christy taking care of the guests and helping her employees. We are greeted upon entering and exiting, and helped when needed directions or information. Sometimes I would arrive at the hotel when the doors are locked and supposed to scan my card, but the front desk will hit a button to let my in. I would see trash or used towels left by the door during the evening, but then removed and cleaned the next morning.
The hotel is near various restaurants and a shopping center. It is walking distance to a Winn Dixie, Tractor Supply, and Culvers. It is not too far from I-75 as well.
Overall, this is an excellent 3 diamond hotel for a weekend stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is a great plus too. Definitely will stay again when in the...
Read moreThis was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel post Covid. I have stayed in hotels 30 days so far this year so I am not new to Covid rules in hotels. However, the employee representing this hotel was literally yelling at hotel guest as they entered the building. Mind you I was wearing my mask trying to check in. She was yelling at people telling them to get out, when multiple people asked for a mask the response was and I quote, “it is not my job to teach you the law, I don’t have one so you need to get out now.” After calling Marriott Customer Care, Marriott policy is to provide mask to guest who may have broken theirs or simply do not have one. Not to yell across the hotel lobby at them.
She also stated, “my mom works for the state my information comes directly from the state” when in reality it comes from her mother. This employee was behind plexiglass, wearing a mask improperly below her nose, all the while telling people very rudely to step back.
As I was still trying to check in she says, “I am so sick of this incompetent idiots coming in here” well Fairfield of Riverview I for one will never stay with a franchise that allows their front desk employee to call me an incompetent idiot.
The room was decent, no complaints with the room. Just the extreme rudeness and incompetence of the front desk help and the horrible experience of it. I would recommend finding a different Marriott Location or a Hilton property as their staff is always courteous and...
Read moreI stayed 115 days until November 2023 while interior remodeling went in at home. This hotel is maintained to the highest standards. Very spacious rooms. I never felt cramped at all. An inviting lobby area. A large capacity breakfast area that serves a quality breakfast that you can enjoy in comfort.
Housekeeping is excellent. Room bathrooms are all stone and tile. The entire hotel has a huge water softening system. Even the pool has s softened water and there is no chemical smell.
The Staff, if I leave any out please forgive me. The best and most courteous people.
The desk: Rob, Taisha, Maria. Always there with a smile. Angelina thank you for getting me the best corner room knowing that my stay would be long. The blond lady at the desk, your name slipped but you were always so helpful.
The support and maintenance staff. They run this hotel like a smooth machine. 115 days, they even sanitize the AC units.
The kitchen: A special shout out to Miss Deb and Miss Yuri. Thank you for the best attention and a nice leisurely breakfast every day.
Great hotel for concerts, sports events and other venues in the the Tampa - St. Pete area. Centrally located near I75. Winn Dixie is less than a quarter mile away on the same side of the street as are many local eateries. No street crossing needed.
This is simply a great hotel and the features are well above the...
