I found this place through word of mouth and I’m glad I went and checked it out myself! The smell of fresh baking pastry fills the air before you ever step foot into the place. The assortment is plentiful and the prices are reasonable. If you like a donut that melts in your mouth, you will be hooked from the first bite! The decor isn’t anything special, but I’m not there for that so it doesn’t bother me a bit. If you are looking for a sit down/eat in experience, be aware that the place is small so the seating is quite limited and they are always busy in the morning it seems so having a decent queue line wrapping around is quite common, but the employees do their best to keep the line moving as quickly as possible so it’s not so bad, really. Totally worth the wait IMO. I have never been disappointed with anything I have purchased there. The apple fritters, Boston cream long john and unglazed sour cream donuts are my absolute favorite. I am definitely a hero when I present a box of goodies from here to my coworkers LOL! :) Everyone’s taste is different so check it out for yourself. The hole in the wall called Hole In One is definitely my “ace in the hole” for a...
Read moreI visited for the first time a couple weeks ago, on a recommendation from a friend. Its a small shop with a few tables. When I arrived, the line was almost out the door. The pricing/menu were clear and easy to understand; and the employees were friendly. I ordered half a dozen donuts, and three sausage rolls. The sausage rolls were slightly above average. The sausage itself tasted like a typical hot-dog with cheese. The dough is what made the roll delicious. It was yeasty, and soft, even after sitting in the bag for a few hours. The doughnuts were good. I prefer another place in Winter Haven, but these are probably the best in the Tampa area. They were warm when we got them, and they tasted fresh; unlike places like Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme. However, after a few hours, the doughnuts were not nearly as soft or delicious. I would go back, probably more for the sausage rolls than the doughnuts. I would probably try some other pastries as well. Overall, this is a good place to go if you want fresh, homemade tasting doughnuts in the Tampa area. Much better than any chain...
Read moreWow! Just WOW! A friend recommended this donut shop on Florida Avenue and for GOOD reason!!!! (There are additional locations around Tampa as well) The donuts are very fresh and delicious!!!! Melt in your mouth! When we 1st went last weekend, the line was long, but moved quickly! There were plenty of fresh donuts to pick from, but no French Crullers! (We were told you have to arrive early for those as understandably, they sell out quickly)! We chose the Breakfast Special: Breakfast sandwich (made fresh) on a croissant: egg, bacon & cheese, donut and coffee. The sandwich was made perfectly, served hot with lots of melted cheese on a fresh, buttery croissant!!! OMG! It was delicious!!!! (Didn't catch a photo! I ate it too fast!). The donut melted in my mouth, so fresh! The coffee was perfect!!!! We sat inside to eat and noticed the endless line of customers, most seemed to be regulars... The price was right, service was speedy and the food was unbelievably delicious!!!! We already went back the following weekend, this time earlier, to try their French Crullers!...
