Bearss Sandwiches — Restaurant in Temple Terrace

Never been here before decided to stop by one day for lunch however as walked in the door there seemed to be some kind of confrontation between A customer and an employee fron the barber shop next door as I was walking in to get in line to order. The employee of the barber shop next door was clearly very angry at this customer about where they had parked and he was telling the employee making the sandwiches about how angry he and how rude this customer was that's when their anger turned towards me when they scowled at me wanting to know if I was with him. I looked at them, shocked as I said no, and they looked at me like I was lying and at that point, unsure if i had parked incorrectly too and certainly did not feel welcome. So I walked right out of that establishment. My time and money it too valuable to be treated in that way. Hope they take a lesson in first impressions and treating potential paying customers with kindness. I was buying lunch to bring home to my family. Someone else will...

The older lady, I'm not sure if she's the owner or just works there. But she wasn't that friendly, and came off kind of rude to me, didn't even try to help me or take my order. She took the order of two elderly ladies in front of me, then she just walked off to the side when it was my turn to order didn't acknowledge me, didn't do any she stood still like a statue. The cook in the back saw this and seemed kind of embarrassed by this as if she does this a lot. The cooked took my order and made my food, he was very friendly. But I notice the older lady went back to taking the other customers orders when I left the store, almost as if she was personally scared of me. I'm not sure if it was racial or maybe she just doesn't like younger people but I don't think she should be...

This was our first time here and our last. The little old lady is rude and crazy! We ordered 3 sandwiches and she dressed them without even asking us what we wanted on them.

My husband wanted only meat and cheese. My son didn't want tomatoes on his and I don't care for pickles, mayo or mustard. But all of these items were on all 3 sandwiches plus lettuce and oil and vinegar.

How are you going to have a sandwich shop and not ask the customers what toppings they want on it and just dress them however you feel like? Last time I checked everyone on the planet doesn't eat the same exact things.

And when we tried to explain that we didn't want all those items on our sandwiches, she looked at us like she wanted to kill us.
