This was our first time trying this restaurant and I have mixed feelings. When we walked in, the two hostess made eye contact with us but lagged asking how many was in our party. Our server(s), one in training, were polite but they had no customer service skills. From the time we ordered drinks to getting the check, we probably saw them three times. Meanwhile, the male serve checked on all four of his tables multiple times asking for refills, explaining the menu, etc. - on top of him mentioning that he’s also a bartender. We weren’t notified of the happy hour, wasn’t asked if this was our first time - none of that. But again, they were polite. The food was pretty mid for the price, in my personal opinion. The bread was probably the best part of my meal! Whoever made the drinks is heavy handed and I’m not here to complain about that.! -Royal Street Shrimp and succotash: The hot shrimp were at the bottom of the dish but decently seasoned. Too many lima beans in the succotash and the peppers were in chucks! -Specialty grouper filet*: Fried nicely but the slaw was… DRY! -Salted caramel cheesecake: DELICIOUS! *Caesar salad had multiple wilted pieces and the dressing weirdly tasted like fish. I wouldn’t return but I’m happy I crossed this off my list of places to try.

Visited 1/9/21. The food and the service was excellent! Lots of local options on the menu. I highly recommend the pork chop, it was cooked to perfection- be sure to ask for "medium" otherwise its medium well and i can't guarantee it. Went with friends so we ordered several items and shared. The chicken sandwich was great-fresh with house made pickles! They will even roll it in buffalo sauce if you like a lil spice in your life. The BLT that included a fried green tomato was good. The southern version of Caprese was superb... the pickled onions really give it a wow and the goat cheese 😍... its a winner! The fried mac & cheese bites were good.. justed needed to be slightly more cheesy, but the panko breading was light and crispy and the ranch was perfect. I will be putting this place in my rotation for sure!!!

We had the PBLT with balsamic glazed Brussel sprouts. Have to say they both were something to write home about. The sourdough bread was perfect. Also had the Mac and Cheese bites as an appetizer. They were good. Not impressed with the wait staff which is the reason for 4stars. We had to request another waitress to find our waiter when we were ready for the bill. This restaurant I paid with cash. He wanted to know if I needed change. Fair question but would have been a 47% tip so I said yes I needed change. He then asked how much change did we want. At that point we asked for exact change back and we were still shorted 50 cents. We did tip appropriately for the service but will usually go above and beyond for good service.

If you want a fantastic juicy burger this is the place to get it. Absolute perfection. This was the first burger place that actually got our preferred doneness right! I take my burger medium and my husband is medium well and that's exactly what we got. I was so impressed by this because they (other burger places) usually just overcook it and I just deal with it and never come back. It was so good I took my other half home for later which I normally do not do with burgers. I don't know what seasoning they put on their burgers but it's perfect. It's just enough but doesn't over power the flavor of the Angus. We also added bacon and it was perfectly cooked. One more thing about their burgers is that they put all condiments besides the bacon and cheese to the side so you can add as much or as little as you want which keeps the bun from getting mushy which I very much appreciate. Our server ( I wish I could remember his name. He did have brown hair with a ponytail that I remember :). I'm sorry about that. :-/) was fantastic. Great guy! He was there when we needed him and wasn't when we didn't. Spot on service! Also, great prices for the amount of food you get. It's a small space but very well done and has a great atmosphere. We arrived on a Saturday at around 5:50pm and seated right away. About 30 mins later the place got busy. I didn't see a "line" when we left but the place does fill up fast since it is smaller so keep that in mind. The burger IMHO is worth a little wait if there is one. ;-) Just an awesome laid back place to get great food. It's now our go to burger place. We LOVED it! Please please please do not change how you're doing your burgers! They are melt in your mouth perfect as is and need no changes...EVER! LOL. Side Note: We got a to go order as well for our son and he said it was 10 out of 10. He loved...

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but I was let down tremendously. Upon receiving our drinks, we were not given any straws nor were they offered by the waitress. I looked around and saw every other patron had been given straws. Equal service is not guaranteed here it seems. I ordered the chicken tenders plate just to test the waters. When the food arrived, I noticed that the chicken breading was falling off and was extremely greasy. I proceeded to dip the tender in some barbecue sauce. When I pulled it out, all the breading stayed in the sauce, leaving me with a naked greasy tender and no sauce. The chicken was not cut against the grain and as a result, the chicken was very rubbery and tough to eat. The French fries had little to no seasoning and most were overcooked. My wife had the shrimp po boy. However, it was underwhelming and poorly seasoned with a lack of shrimp. One of my family members had the salmon over risotto. Upon receiving their dish, the risotto was cold and flavorless. You can get better risotto from a box kit at a grocery store. The key takeaway here is that if you can’t properly fry chicken, you shouldn’t try doing something as complex as a risotto. The food we received was a disgrace to southern and Italian cuisine. I will not be returning to this establishment and I will advise others to steer...
