If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I just had one of the most surreal and awful experiences after ordering a pizza from this Hungry Howie's store.
I had never eaten Hungry Howie's pizza before tonight (Friday February 2, 2018), and unfortunately, I never will again. My wife had always raved about your pizza so we decided to have one delivered. We ordered online and were given an estimated delivery time of 45 minutes. After roughly 50 minutes had passed, we checked the online tracker which indicated that it was still being made. I called the restaurant to see if the tracker was accurate. When I asked what the status of my pizza order was the guy told me it was just now being made, would be going into the oven soon, and wouldn't be delivered for another 30 minutes. I asked what the problem was and he rudely said "Because we're busy. What do you think?" I asked to speak to the manager and a minute later another man picked up the phone. The first words out of his mouth were "It might be longer" spoken ever ruder than the first guy. There was no hello or how may I help you. He told me he could cancel my order and I was speechless for a minute. He then said "Come on. Do you want it or not?" At this point I told him to just get me the pizza as soon as possible. Understand that I wasn't yelling or being rude at all, yet was being treated more poorly than I think I ever have by anyone in the food industry in years. Maybe ever. There were no apologies and they acted hostile towards me. As though I was insulting them by asking what was taking so long.
About 30 minutes later (about 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time I ordered it) the pizza arrived and it was soggy and under cooked. I called back and again asked to speak to a manager and this time a woman answered the phone. Her name was Amy but she wouldn't provide her last name. I explained the undercooked pizza and the rude behavior of the previous people I spoke to and she asked me to hold. She came back quickly and said she would refund my money and then added "I know this sounds horrible, but you are not allowed to order here again." Not that I was going to anyway, but I asked her why? I wasn't rude, I didn't raise my voice, I didn't use profanity, I just asked why my pizza was taking so long and then informed management of my poor treatment by her employees. I own my business and appreciate this kind of feedback about my employees. She refused to answer my questions and then hung up on me. She never once apologized.
It's a real shame that my first experience with Hungry Howie's had to be this. If the owner of this store or the corporate office read this, I want you to know that whoever is doing the hiring at this store is doing your brand a huge disfavor. A simple apology for their tardiness would have gone a long way. As a business owner I know that things don't always go perfect. But instead, everyone from the staff to the management treated me, a paying customer, like garbage for no good reason at all. I won't be ordering Hungry Howie's in the future. There are plenty of pizza places that will appreciate my business and, at a minimum, apologize if there's a problem. The staff here is just...

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally report an extremely disappointing experience I had with your Hungry Howie’s location at:
971 N Goldenrod Rd, Unit 160 Orlando, FL 32807 Phone: (407) 380-1780
On Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, I began calling this location at approximately 9:10 PM to place an order. Despite your listed closing time being 10:00 PM, my calls were repeatedly ignored, sent to voicemail, or immediately declined.
Eventually, at around 9:17 PM, a male employee answered the phone and curtly stated that the store was “closed” with no explanation, then ended the call. I was shocked by the complete disregard for both your business hours and basic customer service.
This experience reflects poorly on the Hungry Howie’s brand, especially when loyal customers are denied service during open hours and are treated dismissively. I would like to request that this complaint be forwarded to the store manager and/or franchise owner for review and appropriate action.
Please confirm that this complaint has been received and inform me of any steps taken to...
Read moreFresh pizza, great prices, loves the different flavored crust and stuffed crust. Best hungry Howie's central Florida hands down. Complete opposite of sun vista location. Sun vista is under new management but previous experiences have proved there is no better than chickasaw and colonials hwy50 hungry Howie's. They are family owned and hyst great ppl making great fresh pizza I've not once had a bad pie in the 15 to 20 years I've been going there. Well... let's say the past ten years of continued satisfied customer service and food quality. Would rate 6 stars if they had it. Also, don't let the plaza fool you or keep u away. A little ominous looking on the outside ed but trust these are all good people, and our small local business owners who are great people and have cleaned Evan's plaza up enormously in the past 5 years. But overall, please check out their flavored crust, stuffed cheese crust and famous cheesy bread, and get the best hungry Howie's service in a 50 mile radius! (Wish i could say florida, they are most...
