Ice Cream Shoppe at 30A — Restaurant in Florida

Saddened by our experience. Our family originally stopped by Blue Mountain for ice cream after dinner; as many fellow locals know, getting ice cream during peak season can be tricky. I wish we had stayed in line at Blue Mountain, but we decided to give this place a try.

The inside is cute, but the ice cream is nothing to write home about. The service was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am not one to write reviews. I’ve worked in customer service during peak season -I know how incredibly taxing it can be.

A young blonde girl with a few tattoos, took our order. When I asked her simple questions about flavors, she spoke to me in a disrespectful tone, made jokes at my expense, and while I apologized twice she kept pressing-in to her insensitive jokes. I felt embarrassed and confused by her hostility. -My fiancé was also confused as neither of us could determine where that energy came from. I left without ordering anything.

We got to Ice Cream Shoppe at 30A at 10:55pm. Before we got there we read a review where someone gave five stars saying they came right at closing and they were warmly greeted and they were helped with their selections. After reading this we felt it was ok to take our kids for a late nite treat after leaving the restaurant. We got out of the car and the girl at the register mouthed "Black people" to the guy working w/her in the shop. Not sure what this meant! We did not get the same warm and friendly service we read about in the reviews. Calli did not greet us and Jake did not lift his head from mopping. My 9y/o didn't know what flavor between two choices she wanted so she asked if she could sample a flavor. Calli responded with "we're not doing samples anymore tonite". Ice Cream Shoppe is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly atmosphere. The real highlight of my visit, though, was Savannah. She went above and beyond to make my experience special, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring I got exactly what I wanted.
