Growing up in Florida, I have had a lot of sun exposure. Nearing 50, several hyperpigmented areas on both cheeks and my upper lip became quite unsightly. I did some research and found several videos on youtube of Dr. Weiner in Santa Rosa Beach performing dual 1550/1927 fraxel laser procedures. However, because Dr. Weiner was 6+ hours from my home I settled for a local Orlando plastic surgeon instead.

After receiving a disappointing fraxel laser treatment at the Orlando plastic surgeon’s office and an amazing dual fraxel laser treatment at Dr. Weiner’s Aesthetic Clinique, I decided to write a review to let others know it makes a great deal of difference who performs the procedure and what laser they are using.

I received one 1550 fraxel treatment at an Orlando plastic surgeon's office and 1 1550/1927 fraxel laser treatment from Dr. Weiner. I was elated with Dr. Weiner's results, but disappointed with the Orlando plastic surgeon's results for the following reasons:

1. although the 1550 fraxel laser used by the Orlando plastic surgeon was sold to me as being equally effective in treating hyperpigmentation it was not nearly as effective as Dr. Weiner’s custom settings to the 1550/1927 fraxel dual laser to maximize the 1927 wavelength laser energy to treat my hyperpigmentation. Dr. Weiner’s results were amazing removing 95% of the hyperpigmentation whereas the 1550 laser achieved far less;

2. the Orlando plastic surgeon did not do the procedure whereas Dr. Weiner performed the procedure himself;

3. the Orlando plastic surgeon's office used a numbing cream that resulted in only facial numbing resulting in a good deal more discomfort during the procedure. Dr. Weiner's office uses the same numbing formulation used by the laser manufacturer (even compounded by the same pharmacy) which was far more effective with numbing to the interior of the mouth resulting in less discomfort during the procedure;

4. Dr. Weiner’s technique was identical to his youtube videos consisting of 6 laser passes per facial area. Dr Weiner’s results were far more thorough because his technique was superior with 6 passes of the laser, whereas the Orlando plastic surgeon’s aesthetician did only 2 to 4 passes. Dr. Weiner provided 2 to 3 times more laser coverage in a single treatment giving me far more ‘treatment’ for the same cost.

5. Dr. Weiner's wife, Sandy, and ex-Johns Hopkins ICU nurse, developed a customized daily morning and evening skin regimen to maintain the fraxel laser procedural results. She also provided a great deal of skin education to ensure I adopted certain behaviors aimed at maintaining the results Dr. Weiner achieved. The Orlando plastic surgeon offered no similar instruction.

Dr. Weiner’s Aesthetic Clinique deserves a 10 star rating, but Google allows for only 5!

Dr. Weiner’s staff is highly knowledgeable, very courteous and extremely professional. Dr. Weiner, with all his experience, expertise and skill is still very approachable. He seemed happy to answer any and all of my questions. Dr. Weiner and his wife, Sandy, were a delight to meet. Their competence and care create a level of confidence in the patient that is rarely matched.

I would highly recommend Dr. Weiner’s services and that of his spa regardless of how far away you are. The doctor really does make all the difference even in procedures where you’d think the equipment would be the primary constraint.

Horrible experience. I am on vacation in Alys Beach and started having some breakouts and reached out inquiring about restarting a prescription topical. I thought I had made it clear enough to the person booking the appointment that I am on vacation, but mistakes happen and that could have been blurry. I drove 30 minutes to this appointment, filled out paperwork that stated my address and was still taken back to get medical photos on record for my skin. I was then taken back into an office to discuss the prescription and was made extremely uncomfortable right from the start. I was asked “why is it you are trying to get on a prescription topical while on vacation?” What a strange way to start a conversation. I proceeded to answer saying that I just had the free time while being up here and was interested in it since they were making it seem like I had strangely bad intentions about an acne topical. She then proceeded to make snarky remarks about the products I’m currently using at home and guilted me and judged me about sunblock usage. She then tried to instead push their other products on me which I would have been interested in if she wasn’t incredibly rude. I left and decided to call the office manager and give them this information about my experience. The office manager could not have cared less. I spent five minutes telling her about my experience and her only response was “thank you for the call.” That’s why I am now leaving a physical review. I wish I could add more stars to the review! I will never let anyone else touch my scars other than Dr. Weiner and Sandy Weiner! Walking into the beautiful facilities I was greeted with professional staff and a glass of water. Then I met Sandy who was so kind and complete in her exam with me. She explained the whole process so completely and kindly and was very comforting. Dr. Weiner then came in and explained to me the best options, and really listened to my concerns. Sandy walked me through the steps and consent forms, and even gave me a bag to put my stuff in!

The Infinii process was not as painful as I had in my head that it was going to be. I went with the PRP mask, and the staff drawing my blood were so nice and even gave me some chocolate!

I went home with some ME Serum, and have been healing nicely ever since. Sandy and the staff even called me a couple times after my appointment to make sure all was going well. I only wish I lived in the area so I could go more often. Regardless, I will be coming back in the coming months, and look forward to my scars finally looking better for the first time in my life after wasting thousands of dollars here in Minnesota.
