I am currently staying in Unit 224 at Redfish Village. It has been the worst, most frustrating vacation experience of my life. 1) When we arrived, I checked the beds and immediately realized the sheets had not been changed. They had hair all over them, and the children's' beds had cheetos crumbs. We requested new sheets and waited until 11:30pm to received them before finally giving up and sleeping on the mattresses. 2) The next morning I looked around a bit more and realized nothing had been cleaned. There were food crumbs all over the floor. When the cleaning people finally arrived around noon (I waited while my family went to the beach), they handed me sheets to change myself and showed me where the vacuum was. I spent the rest of the afternoon washing mattress pads and covers (also hair/dirt covered but no replacements offered) and cleaning the unit myself. 3) my husband tried to use the master bathroom shower and it filled up with water. Maintenance did come pretty quickly to fix that. Gross nonetheless 4) the dryer makes a very loud screeching noise. I asked for it to be fixed and returned to the unit smelling of oil fumes and the dryer still screeching 5) the washer makes a banging noise 6) the wifi password doesn't work, so my husband and I cannot work - I've asked for a new wifi password since we arrived and still haven't received one 7) the ice on the fridge doesn't work.
I requested that in the least our cleaning fee be refunded and honestly our first night should be comped since we barely slept and spent half of the first day fixing what was dirty and broken, and have been offered $100 off our stay instead.
The property itself is nice, but rent from 30A or Paradise rentals. Our friends who are staying in those units are...
Read moreI generally only review the places I like. This was an exceptional one.
Redfish was really nice, without the crowded, annoying feel that many resort type places have. Sometimes it pays to save up and stay in a nicer place, and this was one of them. On top of being an immaculate, well designed/maintained/updated facility, the location is exceptional, just a short bike ride or walk to beautiful beaches and cool little places to eat (an ice cream place, a bakery that also served hot breakfast, the restaurant at Redfish - all excellent). Also, the little path behind the pool that leads to a small wooded area with a deck over a pond is really nice too, and handicap accessible. It was a pleasant, quiet place to go in the morning. My family and I would not hesitate to stay...
Read moreExactly what we needed! This place was spot on with the description and photos. Redfish village was a perfect spot for our first time visiting the Santa Rosa beach area. Private parking, balcony, spacious living areas and super clean. Plenty of places to eat, drink, and hear music all within a 5 minute walk, or a 15 min bike ride. We have been going to the gulf waters for over 40 years, and blue mountain beach blows all the other gulf beaches out of the water (pun intended). The water was super, super clean and clear and the beach sand was baby powder soft and white. This place has now become our new favorite. Don't hesitate booking......You won't be...
