Its hard to explain the level of dissatisfaction with the employees unless you experience it. What started out as a hopeful place to take my kids is gone after 3 experiences. FYI: My 12 year old went with friends and loved the flavored ice. So I decided to take the family. I personally grew up with many fond memories of a vanilla/chocolate twist soft serve cone so I was excited.
The letdown came when we experienced the complete lack of greeting, welcoming smile and then a lack of attention from the teenage employee. It could be chalked up to having a bad day if it didn't happen more than once. The first time was not fun as the employee acted very disinterested in serving us. Body language, attitude and lack of being cordial left a bad taste in our mouths. Pun intended. Experience, not product failed. So last night after church, I wanted to surprise my daughter with some fun times with ice cream. Unfortunately we received the same cold, un-caring, unwelcoming atmosphere from the young lady. Strike two. To add insult, she did not listen to what I ordered and seemed upset when I stated that is not what I ordered. She proceeded to toss the cone into the trash in a huff and gave me the correct one. Then when my daughter stated what she wanted, the same girl got the order wrong again. Unfortunately I had turned my attention away. My daughter did not say anything until we got to the car. My son who visited from Texas a week prior stated that he got a free ice cream because the employee got the previous order wrong and instead of tossing it away, gave it to him. He agreed that they are very non-attentive.
It makes me wonder if the owner knows about the loss of revenue with too many mistake orders. I can only speculate that there is a percentage of loss built into the business plan but how do you account for poor employees. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this location. I was not dissatisfied with the product, just...
Read moreMy wife shared this little gem with me when she visited a few weeks ago. So naturally on my visit I grabbed my google review partner ( my mother in law) and off we went. Now I am familiar with a variety of Italian/water ice as I live up north but this definitely is at the top. Tons of flavor of Italian ice to choose from and the ice cream they mix in the gelati is awesome. Rich and creamy, it doesnât even need the Italian ice ( but of course thatâs not fun) I chose the Froggy Frog Italian ice mixed with Horacho ice. The Froggy Frog is a mint chocolate chip Italian ice with TONS of mini chocolate chips sprinkle all around. Each spoonful was full of chips. The Horacho was a vanilla, almond, cinnamon flavor ( at least that is what I remember the server telling me). Who cares bc it was out of this world. My MIL got a gelati with vanilla ice cream, mixed with two flavors of ice , coconut and lemon. Neither would have been my first choice but after tasting it WOW , I need me some of that coconut ice. The staff was super friendly, gave us a few samples before we decided and answered all of our questions with a smile. The interior of the store is clean, bright and vibrant. They also have a huge patio area outside to enjoy you treat and it was nicely lit with some outdoor lighting and picket fence.
If in Naples, please donât miss this refreshing treat. Whether after dinner or just a cool treat on a hot afternoon, you wonât be...
Read moreWe went there with Winnie and Romeo, our two Blue and Gold macaws, and were going to sit outside as soon as we ordered and got our ice cream. As soon as we walked in, while the door was still open, I told the ladies behind the counter that we would be taking ourselves and the birds outside to eat. The one lady freaked out and threw us out, and said that animals couldn't be there. The funny thing was that the table of three that was sitting in the very first table had a small dog that had its paws up on the surface where people eat, and that is ok apparently. These are ambassador birds for a local rescue, and constantly do events. So far this year they have been on and in front of at least 20,000 people with no issues. Places like Royal Scoop and Fernweh actually encourage us to bring the birds, and that is what we tell everyone we see! We won't be back and will not recommend this place to anyone. It is not just about the birds, it is also about how it...
