Ugh. Don't be fooled by the name. This is not Thai at all. Ordered beef with Brocolli and got some weird gelatinous... whatever it was. It took a really long time to get to us too -- and the place wasn't even half-full -- there were just 3 other parties aside from us.
The gelatinous junk I got wasn't even warm. It was room-temperature. My wife ordered chicken Pad Thai and it was nothing like Pad Thai in composition or taste. Her "chicken" was also some semi-gelatinous stuff that looked like chicken but was over-seasoned (to maybe mask how old it was)?
Ok so the food is bad -- and way over-priced. Chinese economics. What about the service?
No one came to our table to ask how our orders were. I guess they didn't want to because they knew they'd get an answer! Apparently the other patrons were complaining too, which I didn't realize (my kids mentioned they were). Well what do you know. The waitress was not very polite as well -- hardly acknowledged me with a reply to a "thank you" (which was pretty hard for me to deliver, but I was trying my best not to be rude). She did ask if there was anything else they could get us though -- uh.. maybe 100% off our orders?
Overall, this is NOT Thai food and not anything "Asian". I know so coz I'm Asian. This is your average Chinese frozen-fast food joint that ain't-so-fast. The prices though, are premium. It's a huge middle-finger to white people who have even the slightest inkling to think this is Asian food. This deserves the lowest star I can give because of the food quality, service and deceptive practices they employ. If they were honest, they could earn a 2 star at least -- but seeing how many people are duped by this... well people -- wait till you try some...
Read moreWheelchair accessible. * This place seems to be hit or miss with reviews and we kinda know why. We came here with some friends to eat before heading up the road to the Alligator Farm. When we walked in, it felt awkward because the place had a couple of tables with folks but it was so quiet. Was like entering a library. It was super clean and a small intimate dining space. It does get busy in there. We were impressed with the sushi selection and the service! We mostly ordered sushi rolls. My husband ordered the Pad Thai and friends ordered other chicken and rice dishes. And for our children we ordered a Bento Box. They also have Japanese sodas available to order as well. The sushi was incredible. Each entree, including the sushi lunch special, comes with a small bowl of salad with a citrus dressing and miso soup. My kids ate almost half of my sushi. Whenever I buy sushi, it sometimes ends up in crumbly mess. None of our sushi came apart which was awesome. The bento box was amazing. The shrimp tempura and fried rice bento was excellent. The shrimp were the size of prawns. We think the mixed reviews are do to the other dishes such as Pad Thai. It was a lot of sauce for the amount of noodles and lacked peanutty flavor. When we return we will skip the Pad Thai and stay with the other dishes. The servers and sushi shef were amazing with drink refills and getting our orders out timely and all at the same time. (There were 7 of us.) It is always difficult whenever food is served at different times and there are kids in our party so that was really nice. We will...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of ordering takeout from Jin Sushi Hibachi Thai, and as a vegan, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I checked the menu, it was clear they had a variety of options that catered to plant-based diets, which is always a huge relief for me. I ordered the Pad Thai and the Panang curry, and both dishes exceeded my expectations.
The Pad Thai was a perfect balance of savory, tangy, and sweet flavors, with generous portions of tofu, peanuts, and fresh vegetables. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich and flavorful without being overpowering. It’s not always easy to find a great vegan Pad Thai, but this one was spot on.
The panang curry was another standout. It was packed with a variety of fresh, tender vegetables, and the coconut milk base was creamy and comforting. The spice level was just right—flavorful without being too hot—and it paired wonderfully with the rice. The curry had a depth of flavor that made each bite satisfying and indulgent.
What also made my experience memorable was how accommodating the staff was. I called ahead to inquire about vegan options, and they were not only helpful but also made sure everything was prepared without any animal products. The food arrived fresh and hot, and the portions were generous.
Overall, I was really happy with my takeout from Jin Sushi Hibachi Thai. As a vegan, it’s a treat to find a place that offers such delicious and customizable options. I’ll definitely be ordering from...
