I do not typically leave reviews like this however I feel it is warranted. I visited this location last Friday morning with my family, we went in the store in search of a gift. I’m going to preface this with the fact that I do not shop at MK for myself and am not familiar with their products. There were two associates along with one or two other customers.
First thing I noticed is we were not greeted when we came in. I wanted to give them the benefit as they were talking to each other when we came in. We continued browsing and we were very impressed by the sale they were having. At one point all three of us walked right past both of the staff. Still no greeting, no how are you, no how can I help you. They carried on in their conversation talking about their personal business as they unboxed merchandise.
At this point I have decided that no matter how good the sale is I’m likely not buying anything solely because of the lack of customer service. We shopped the entire store in about 10 minutes and walked out without them uttering a single word to us.
We did however shop with two of their neighboring competitors at Coach and Kate Spade where we were greeted and treated with the utmost in customer service, we immediately were made aware of sales and the staff were available as they did their other tasks. We purchased the gifts we were looking for at Coach. I do hope MK made the sales day but they did not with our money.
I have worked in luxury retail and in a competitive retail market a company could loose sales over many uncontrollable things but should not loose a single opportunity due to poor service. I hope they do better in figuring out how to turn visitors into customers. Next time it could be someone who would or could spend way more than me...
Read moreI went in this place today to purchase 2 tote bags. First when I walked in the store the associate was mopping the floor and didn't greet me. I walked up to the counter where she still provided no greeting and I had to ask where could I find the Copper Tote bag. She replied in the back of the store. After I told her I wanted 2 of the bags. She informed the 2nd associate that I needed the bags. The 2nd associate who was an older woman with white hair, acted liked she don't want to be bothered, brought the first bag out and was holding it between her thumb and fore finger like it was dirty or something. I then requested the 2nd bag in a different color. She came back to ring me up and just as I was about to pay for both bags, she informed me they had no bags to place their product in! They didn't even apologize! So I am like you expect me to carry 2 new bags out the store which to me looks is not the best look! So hit "no" and just walked out of the store. This was my first AND LAST time shopping...
Read moreI’ve recently visited this store I got a greeting which I appreciated BUT I noticed when I walked in no one told me about any sales or deals but I did notice that when other customers came into the store they were greeted told about the deals and were made to feel very special, as I proceeded to shop around I’m looking at the purses and one of the salesmen cut in front of me to show other customers the purses that I was browsing like I was invisible, it’s sad bc I love Michael kors.
