I used to frequent this store, and the ladies were all so nice. Three months ago, however, two of the ladies accused me of selling their products. I was actually buying them myself and family. And, yes, I was sending some items to a friend of mine in another state, which this store said they considered "selling". And, yes, I sold whatever I did not want or like for myself. After all, this is a free Enterprise country. So, I was told I could only buy for myself, and my friends had to come in and buy their own items. I was also told by the manager she was tired of "foreigners coming in and fleecing their store of their items". Just this week, after waiting nearly three months, I returned and brought two of my dearest friends to this store, one who had never even been inside (both my friends are African American). Our plan was to load up on a few months of two items, so I did not have to come back and feel accosted, for another three months. When my one friend went to make her purchases (my other friend and I had already checked out and were waiting outside), the sales lady told her she "knew we were all together", and that we had reached our maximum limit, as we were all considered "one person". She spoke to her like we were unscrupulous, unworthy of her store. I bought four total items (two products), my one friend bought five total (two products), and this friend bought six items (two products): only one item was common to all of us, as I planned to stock up for a few months. At this point, I felt so embarrassed and frustrated, and hurt for my dear friend, who is a 63-year-old registered nurse and mother. Furthermore, by this person saying "I know you are all together", implied we were pretending not to be. In fact, I would NEVER not stand behind my friends, or pretend to not be with them. We all walked in together, and shared our opinions on many products with each other while in the store. I understand the policy of "no reselling", and am not an idiot. I am a US Navy Veteran, mother, and college graduate. I, however, am not on board with my friends or myself being treated like a criminal. The lack of respect shown to me is one thing, but giving my friend the run around and not respecting her, has me livid. If anyone in this country feels he or she is a true American, and not a "foreigner", he or she had better be a Native American Indian. Otherwise, even if you think your family came over on the Mayflower, YOU are a foreigner. America was built by immigrants, and I served in the Navy to protect EVERYONE in the United States. I no longer trust any of the sales persons in this store, except for Sandra, who seems to be the only genuine employee, and not a hypocrite. (There is another lady there, too, who is a straight shooter, but I don't know her name.) To me, it is not worth having my integrity challenged to save a few dollars any more at this store. I would rather drive to South Carolina, where the ladies at the Hilton Head store are super nice, as well as the Myrtle Beach stores, where they give exceptional, courteous service. I gave this store an extra star only...
Read moreWould haved loved to provide a 5 star for this store because it had my personal favorite DayWear facial cream (Estee Lauder) on sale for 50% off the regular price! How did I know? NOT from being told by the young salesgirl, as she repeatedly informed me it was $46.00. However she did initially price it lower, then noticed there were not any displayed for sale, so it was $46. she stated. Because of my attire today consisting of half landscape wear, she must have thought I would not consider that price. When asked if any could possibly be in back, she really didn't answer definitively but minutes later did ask another, out of view employee, if there were. The other woman told her they were by the register - how she possibly didn't notice them was questionable. I decided to buy one eventhough it was not the exact one I always buy specifically for "dry skin" (means old skin) = mine. It then rang up 50% less because of this sale and was $23.00. Great price, and it's a shame she was also dishonest with another woman at that front register who walked up when I was there pondering, because she also was interested in that same product and that salesgirl told her $46.00 when asked the price. Was sorry I had not made it outside in time to tell the other woman the true price. When it rang up $23. I did not say a word, and neither did she as she stuck a free sample of perfume in the bag. This was not just poor customer service - this...
