This place is a good candidate for Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.
Upon entering, the restaurant did not have very many people. There was my group and a couple in front of us waiting to be seated. Someone came by and asked, puzzled "Where **?" as if we should know where the host is. He then stated he'd go find him so we could be seated. This took long enough that we considered leaving, nearly 10 minutes.
When we were seated our waitress was quick to get our drink orders, but it took forever to get our actual drinks. We tried to place an order, only to find the items we wanted weren't available... we went with a safe choice - a platter of wings. Which were fine, it's hard to go wrong there.
The waitress we had was slow the rest of the service, seldom checking up on us. Since I was displeased with the most basic services a restaurant offers, I began to look for other features while slurping on an empty beverage. My opinion of the place only deteriorates from here.
The decor was mix matched, seemingly intended for a tropical look. Old and outdated.
The tables were strange. Some tables donned tablecloths, none of which matched. My table did not have a tablecloth, instead it was made of tiles. The grout between tiles, which was once white, was a very splotchy black and grey. I see the need for tablecloths if they can't keep the tables clean.
I felt grimy the whole time I ate, looking at that dirty dirty table...
The place looks beautiful on the outside, but needs some...
Read moreI normally dont write reviews but while visiting family this past week I felt compelled to. Personally, I dont care for Florida, restaurants, and the food in this state. With that said, my brother suggessted Keiths last week. OUTSTANDING. Our waitress was attentive, kind, and bubbly...always smiling. Our food was even better. I had a steak that shocked me for "Florida" being that i am from cow country...it was a nice reminder of home and their chef (sorry "cook" as I was corrected) knew what he was doing. It was perfect. My kids had fried mac and cheese which they loved and was different. My brother, well stuck on burgers had the biggest burger with gigantic onion rings on top. I inquired who the chef was and our waitress said "Will", we wanted to thank him personally for such a great meal but he was busy....
and so I am Saying Thank You William, for giving my family and I a "midwestern moment" while lost in vacationland.
Great food, fun atmosphere, and one heck of a great chef and team they have. Koodos to you, and thank you William again for a great meal.
I reccommend Keiths to anyone looking for something relaxed fun and off the beaten path who wants excellent food and not break the bank as you would in a typical...
Read moreVisited this evening with my husband and kids, we arrived around 5 pm and there weren’t many patrons so we didn’t expect to deal with what we experienced. This isn’t necessarily an issue with the restaurant itself, as the food was relatively okay and the service was great, but there was another customer that was completely out of line with their behavior and how they were allowed to behave towards others without repercussion is concerning. I’m going to preface this with the fact that I know I’m pretty fat, I’m not in denial about that because I’m not blind nor dumb, but I’m considered an average sized American woman. There was another customer, I don’t know if he was a regular or not, and he was a good 500lbs who was belligerently drunk and loud, yelling obscenities, making gross comments about wait staff (who were lovely), and being very inappropriate with a minor boy. This man also made the incredibly juvenile comment “heifer” as I was leaving, we did not bother this man a single bit before then so this was completely unwarranted. Allowing customers like this to plague your business is not okay, if they have some sense, they won’t allow this man back so long as he feels entitled to berate and harass...
