Keke's Breakfast Cafe — Restaurant in Florida

One of our family’s favorite breakfast spots. Food and service is usually on point. Last visit this weekend we had a horrible waitress that didn’t even bother to refill our coffee or water and didn’t even bother to ask if we wanted refills. I don’t think I ever didn’t have my coffee refilled anywhere ever in my life. A waitress like this can cripple your business. To make matters worse we had to hear a dog barking while we ate breakfast. They let a woman with a little dog in a baby stroller bring in her dog. The woman stated it was a service dog which just wasn’t true. Service dogs are very well trained and this dog was very out of control and the woman had a hard time controlling it. What I’d happening to this location? Hi king about never coming back. Place is not cheap and felt like we just threw away our money this time. Something else I’d like to add not pertaining to this specific visit. Lakewood Ranch location is in a pretty bad spot for cell service no matter which cell provider you have. You can’t invest about $50 a month on providing WiFi service for...

Too bad this is managed terribly because the food is actually decent. Waited over 40 minutes for table when we were told it was a 20-25 minute wait. Large parties that came after us were sat before is and when we questioned the hostess she just started at us. No apology. When we finally did get a table the service was just as slow(no wonder the wait was so long). It took over 45 minutes to get our food. We didn't order anything special, breakfast, a salad and sandwiches. Half the food was cold and the fries were burnt. The food that wasn't cold or burnt was actually good. Never once did the manager stop by nor did we see him engage with any other table or customers. The waitress thanked us no less than 6 times for having patience, so clearly the wait and slowness is a known problem.

This place is a big disappointment considering the limited options in LWR. Get a new manager and we would be happy...

Here is an honest review no BS. Our server Kasondra was not helpful at all it seems that she had an important phone call to attend to and even brought the check without asking for it. I was ready to drink a few Mimosas to start the day right instead, she had an attitude and reminded me that they don't serve or have fancy potatoes or the "good stuff". At that point, it was a red flag and I should of stood up and left but as any typical place we continued to order because we had our beverages.

Moreover, any sides you add is $6.00 yeah you heard that correctly. Here's the fun part I added two images try to drink coffee out of that square cup. Also, there was an egg shell inside of my egg that would be the other image. Overall, the attention to detail is terrible, the staff and friendliness of a few individuals is horrible.
