King Garden — Restaurant in Florida

I am very surprised by some of the reviews, since I have ordered from King Garden for my staff a few times and each time it is perfect. Additionally, they have ordered lunches for themselves and really like the food and service as well. Vegetables are colorful and fresh, and dishes very flavorful, and spot on as they should taste and never greasy. They never skimp on amounts, often "packing" the containers, and they even throw in some extra treats! Everyone likes them alot. We have tried very many different dishes and they have all been very good. I always do put my order online to avoid misunderstandings from language and I even put in notes to remove green peppers and replace with snowpeas, or make extra spicy, and they get it right every time. People who work here are always cheerful and pleasant as well, but their English is not so good, so speak slowly or order online. They are good people and work hard to make you happy. I used to order from here a couple years ago, but haven't since then. My son and I were in the area and I raved to him how "good" their food was. Well.....I will NEVER rave about them or order from them again!! It was disgusting! Qt size Shrimp LoMein had absolutely NO flavor and barely any sauce at all! The shrimp were overcooked soooo much, that it was like biting into and chewing on a piece of thick rubber!!!! My son ordered the Happy Family. It only had 2 shrimp and barely any other meat, but at least had flavor. My son ate his order. Mine went in the trash after one bite!! And to top it off, we ordered/paid for extra fortune cookies and only had 2 of them thrown in the bag. And one of them didn't even have a fortune in it....guess that was a sign to never go there again in the future. Definitely will NOT recommend to anybody...

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one is because the lady that gave me my order was really nice and my honey chicken wasnt horrible but the reasons for my bad rating is their chicken low mein was discussing and they had chow mein noodles in it it's like they mixed the lo mein and chow mein together or something whatever they did it was not good and their fried rice was not authentic it looked like and tasted like walmarts frozen fried rice and their egg rolls were really small like half the size of a regular egg roll and then to top it all off my fortune cookies were stale I have to say I won't be eating...
