Never have I ever in my entire 38 years of existence have I ever experienced such utterly disgusting rude service at a restaurant before. FYI, the one star rating is strictly for the food. There is no such option as to how I can rate for the service I received today expect for, “PLEASE SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN”. As for the food goes, sushi is ok and that’s about where it ends. Anything fried has been drenched in reused dirty oil. Fried rice is undercooked with no flavor. Hibachi chicken should not have been called hibachi at all (no flavor at all). Hibachi shrimp had a weird flavor to the shrimp almost indescribable. If you’re looking for a good hibachi place, RUN. There are many other places within a 10 mile radius that serves actual hibachi/sushi for a similar price. Let’s move on to my experience today……..for all of those who have children should already know, how hard it is to dine out with toddlers. I happen to have twin toddlers at 2.5 years old, so I especially try my best to avoid eating out. Today happened to be a day where my husband insisted on taking me and the kids out for lunch. Yes the kids were talking up a storm and maybe talking a little louder than others, but kids are kids and we have all been their age at one point in life. My husband and I were trying our best to keep the kids tone down a bit, out of respect for the others who were trying to enjoy their meals. Towards the end of the meal, my husband agreed to let me continue eating while he takes the kids outside. As I was trying to remove my son from the booth, he accidentally knocked my hibachi plate onto the floor where it all spilled. Of course I told my son that it was ok, and my husband continued to take both kids outside. As if that wasn’t embarrassing for me enough only because I knew people were probably staring at me when it happened and I get super anxious when all eyes are on me. Anyways I continue to pick up the plate and my chopsticks but I couldn’t clean up the food off the floor because I didn’t have anything to clean it up with as well as not enough napkins. After a few minutes the waitress finally realizes that the food was all over the floor and she just looks at it and then looks at me with the rudest look I have ever seen a waitress give me. I know the other people saw the waitresses expression and knowing that other people saw the whole thing literally made me want to cry. Although I tried my best to not cry while in the restaurant, never in my life did I feel so embarrassed by how a waitress made me feel. Like I said, kids are kids and my kids didn’t purposely throw the food on the floor, it was an accident, but that gave the waitress no reason to act the way she did with me to make me feel really embarrassed. After giving me a rude look a few times she had someone come over to clean the mess (I’m assuming it’s the manager). As she’s cleaning it, I apologized for the mess and she continued to let me know that it was fine. Finally my waitress brings me the check and just rudely leaves it on the table without even saying thank you. Normally I am one to give waitresses at least a 25% tip but I only gave her 20% (only because I would have felt rude for tipping $0). What made me just completely feel disgusted and decide to never return is as I was exiting, the girl who cleaned the mess (assuming she was the manager) I apologized on the way out for the mess and she acted as if she didn’t care what I had to say and she just wanted me to leave already. That ended the whole thing there. I felt even more disgusted for feeling like I had to apologize. Never would I ever return to this establishment and I wouldn’t be surprised if this place one day gets shut down for the unfreshness of food...
Read moreHonestly the first time I came here it was amazing. Sadly I chose to go here for my birthday and it was horrible. The waitress brought my grandfather's beer and my soda over immediately, however; my father's alcoholic beverage and my mother's alcoholic beverage were not brought in a reasonable amount of time by any means. Our appetizers came out and they still did not have their beverages. After about two minutes of receiving the appetizers the waitress came to ask how everything was. She still did not even notice that they did not have their cocktails. We had to ask for them. After asking for them it took an additional five minutes for them to come. At that point we ordered dinner. I specifically ordered my steak rare so I could possibly get it medium rare and both of my parents added lobster to their dinner for the additional $8.00. My father also ordered an additional cocktail at this time in anticipation of the wait. There was no bartender and the manager was making the cocktails. Almost ten minutes went by, still no cocktail. We asked the waitress again and added an additional cocktail. They took so long to get to the table the ice in the drinks was practically gone. Then our dinners came, my grandfather and my mother got what they ordered. My father and I did not. My father never got his lobster, my steak was well done, shrimp was cold, and the vegetables were soggy. The waitress never came to check on us to see how the food was. I went up front and asked for the manager. I was told she was on the phone and couldn't come out at this time. So I waited about five minutes and the girl went back again and told me the manager was still on the phone, so I went back to my table. Upon getting back to my table the waitress came over. I once again requested a manager, I also informed her that my father's lobster should not be on the bill since he didn't receive it. ''O he didn't receive his lobster", I wanted to say if you had checked on the table you'd know that, but; I bit my tongue. By the time the manager finally made her way to the table I was irate. Yes, I was being a b*tch, I will admit that. However, if the manager wasn't giving me dirty looks and rolling her eyes while I was explaining the issues, I wouldn't have became so upset. I told her it was my birthday dinner and her establishment ruined it. She did ask me if I wanted my food fixed and at that point i didn't. She never apologized, never came back to the table, and never even bothered to say happy birthday. The food was disgusting, the service was horrible, and the management proved they could care less about...
Read moreI don’t know how this place has so many good reviews. I liked this place when it first opened but over time it’s declined. I went before Covid happened and my crab tasted so freezer burnt I couldn’t eat it. I just went tonight Oct 23rd because I didn’t feel like making the extra few mile drive to Saki’s. (Which is by far the best endless sushi place.) I tried avoiding the crab because of last time. But this time the salmon tasted frozen too. I started to think maybe it’s just me but my boyfriend confirmed it tasted old and frozen too. Then I got a fried roll, thinking that since everything that’s in it is cooked maybe it would take away from the frozen taste and I just couldn’t eat it. Tell me how a tempura roll tastes like whole wheat. I’ve never had whole wheat Tempura. It didn’t look whole wheat. It looked like a normal tempura fried roll. But it tasted like whole wheat bread. I had to force myself to finish my plain avocado roll. The rice was unseasoned. The nori tastes old. The only good thing I had tonight was the hibachi and the ice cream. That’s the only reason I’m not giving one star. Not to mention the wait staff was rude. I clearly saw they were busy. They were packing tons of orders. So I patiently waited and the girl asked me to give her a second and I said, “Don’t worry! Take your time it seems like a busy night!” I don’t know if she took it in the wrong way, I was trying to be polite but then she just looked angry at me and gave me an attitude when I asked if we could sit at the empty booth instead of a table. Idk what kind of quality seafood they’re putting into their rolls. If you need to save money by all means do so, but don’t rob people or make them sick. This fish tastes old!!!!! If you have to go stay away from the sushi honestly. If you really want sushi, make the extra drive to go to Saki’s. Much fresher fish, they charge the same price. Maybe a dollar more. You can actually eat good sushi there. I’m just officially done with Koizi. I didn’t go back for months, finally went back and it was the worst night there ever. Also They’re serving everything on styrofoam plates which is kind of odd. I thought maybe it’s because of COVID but no restaurant I’ve been to these last 5 months...
