Fritanga Kendall Grille — Restaurant in Florida

I have visited Fritanga Kendall grille on several occasions. Always good food and friendly staff. Today, however, was a different story. I went in to order my food to go. The place was totally empty, I was the only customer. I walked up to the counter (wearing my mask) and proceeded to order. As she was preparing my food I sat down on a chair near the register. The lady behind the counter tells me that I cannot sit there because that table is closed due to social distancing and that I had to get up. I pointed out to her that #1 there was nobody else in the place (social distancing moot) and #2 I reiterated that I was taking it to go therefore I wasn't going to eat at that "prohibited, " table, I was only waiting for her to finish packing my order and move towards the register and I would then get up, pay and leave. She then told me that if I didn't get up from these chair immediately that she wouldn't serve me. I told her not to worry and that I was leaving never to return. I then left. I understand the regulations for the prevention of COVID 19. I find it ridiculous that she wouldn't let me sit while I waited for her to prepare my order in an empty restaurant. Common courtesy...

Terrible!! I have given this place several opportunities because I like to support my community and they are relatively new. But today I gave up. TERRIBLE customer service. The first time I went, i asked for one of the sides to be packed separately and they charged me for the extra styrofoam container. Today the woman who was going to prepare my “quesillo” rolled her eyes up upset for having to work. ( I understand it was late but that is jo excuse) It took her like 20 minutes to fix something that takes 5 minutes in most places..and the quesillo was not even warm, it was cold! Those are only two examples. I feel bad for the young girl at the register, she is always nice. But the owner and rest of the staff need some customer service training.I am never ever going there again. I will stick with fritanga Montelimar, they are...

Sadly, I will never go back to this fritanga. My wife and I had previously been there many times since it opened. Today I made the line with only a few people ahead. Then, when it was my turn, the server passed me by 3 times for customers who were not there yet when I walked in. No one spoke to me, made eye contact or acknowledged in any way that I was a paying customer. It was as if I were invisible. Then I had my wife call them to ask in Spanish why they would not serve me. After that I got service but no eye contact, apology or any acknowledgement for the situation.
